Even if the lobby leader and searcher could specify the core gametype and whether or not the gametype is casual or competitive, it would not allow the thousands of players in LD or GB on at any given time to find the standard gametype lobbies that they play in mm now. It would be nice if a searcher was given the map/gametype lobbies that fit the search and allowed the searcher to choose; the meaning of the gametype/map titles would be left to the interpretation of the searcher, but it would be pretty close to ideal. I don't see why the existence of those playlists is a bad thing, though; if they were gone it wouldn't help good players find better matches in competitve playlists. Whether they have the custom game searcher or not it would help if the less popular minigames like RR were given weekend playlists, so that more players would be encouraged to play it in a shorter time frame, thus giving players more confidence that others would play it, keeping it populated while it is available.
