For some reason, I really suck at the Who's Pinball Wizard. I can't beat the part with all the orange an red changing chords. It's crazy and incredibly hard. I'm playing on expert Btw. I really think rb2 is a lot harder then the first one. Even the supposedly simple songs are harder then most of the mid difficulty rb1 songs. Anybody agree? Disagree?
Pinball Wizard (and Chop Suey!, B.Y.O.B., etc.) are all about getting the rhythm down, other than that I can't help you much. As for the difficulty level, I'm glad it's gone up, since every on-disc song in RB1 besides Brainpower, Pleasure^2 and the last two tiers was monotonous on guitar. (Colony of Birchmen, Panic Attack, and Rob the Prez-O-Dent are my personal favorites)
Battery by Metallica is the one song I have trouble with on guitar and drums. I just cant seem to get the rythm down. I glad the songs got harder, RB1 songs werent that hard I thought
Yes, they did amp of the difficulty in RB2. Previously I was having a hard time playing expert with GH3. I went to RB1 and tore the game up. It was way to easy with the exception of the hardest tier of songs.
I agree that it is better with the harder difficulty level. The only songs in the first Rock Band that I thought were hard were Green Grass and High Tides and Run to the Hills in that one part. Oh, and also that one song that I can't remember the name. It's in the last set though. In rb2, I've had a much harder time but it is still fun.
I was really upset about the first Rock Band since I got 5 stars on the first 6 tiers, and got 4/5 stars on all the last tier songs except Green Grass and High Tides, which I never got around to beating. Hell, I didn't even fail a song up till then. The curve of difficulty was just not that great. I don't have RB2, but from the looks of the setlist (Mastodon, Testament, etc.) I'll either rent or buy it.
Rock Band 2 has indeed ramped up their difficulty. However, many of the solos seem overcharted like a *****, including panic attack's, Battery's, PainKillers, and even Any Way you Want it is overcharted. It just gets me upset when people complain of activision's charting injustices and pay absolutely no attention to when Harmonix does it.
Be glad this isn't scorehero. Also, Panic Attack isn't overcharted, it, like Constant Motion, is undercharted if anything.
