Legendary DLC Rig

    Rig (V1.2)


    Hey guys, here I am again with another Blackout map. I know youre probably thinking "meh" just from hearing that its on Blackout. Well, it would be more accurate to say that the map is below Blackout. The only part of the real Blackout that even affects the map are the support collumns and the bottom of the shotgun building. Rig is a small map on Blackout for 2-6 players. It consists of five main areas; defender's base, attacker's base, central platform (hammer, needler), upper walkway (sniper, bubble shield) and lower walkway (shotgun, regenerator) The map supports all gametypes but is best played for FFA slayer, FFA oddball, Team slayer, and Juggernaut.

    Weapons/equipment:
    4 BRs
    2 SMGs
    2 Spikers
    1 Sniper Rifle
    1 Shotgun
    1 Gravity Hammer
    1 Needler
    4 Plasma Grenades
    1 Regenerator
    1 Bubble Shield

    Changes in Version 1.2
    -minor spawn changes
    -replaced spikers with plasma rifles
    -credit goes to MattKestral

    Changes in Version 1.1
    -added/moved spawns
    -moved sniper fifle
    -fixed escaping issues

    Wow, this actually looks pretty cool. The aesthetics are new, since I've only seen a few maps on it done well. I'll give it a DL and play a few games on it.

    Lol, two legendary maps on the front page at once? Madness!

    Anyways, this is really good. I like how you've managed to make this feel unique with fairly mundane objects. The sniper catwalk and base were particularly nice. I'm assuming this is primarily for team doubles?

    Dude this was totally my next project I was looking forward to building underneath blackout- I figured noone had done it yet. You did such an amazing job Im gonna have to come up with a new idea. GODDAMMIT lol. From experience I know Interlocking near the Death Barrier is a pain in the ass. How long did it take you to establish a "floor plan" without your objects dissappearing? Or did you glitch this map? Im gonna dl and edit this post later. Great work man!

    Ah i remember this map from the forums, looks good, and you added some railings, ima dl and play some ffa when i gt back from vaca.

    oop just discovered an issue, is it escapable? you have a grav hammer and with a nade and that you might be able to escape.

    Actually I had to save and quit/ghost merge the objects into the collumns to keep them from dissapearing.

    I doubt it's escapable, the distance between the map and the original Blackout walkway is pretty far.

    Hate to burst your bubble, but it's just about possible to break with a grav hammer and a well timed plasma grenade. You can just about get to the ramp the arrow's pointing to, if you time it well. Almost impossible, mind.

    Hmm.. well it'll be easy to fix, anyone have any other ideas for changes for a V1.1?

    Okay, after testing around, the whole map's pretty sweet, but there are a few niggles you could sort out.

    > Some of the respawns were off, facing at non-helpful areas. Make sure that you know what direction to go in the instant you respawn.
    > There's only 2 starting points. You need one for every player, fyi. Place them on top of the base respawns.
    > The top base seems to have a bit of an advantage, with immediate access to the sniper and grav hammer. Maybe move the sniper around the elbow a bit? If it's a competition weapon, make sure both teams can get to it at the same time, more or less.

    That's pretty much it. Otherwise, a very solid, playable map.

    But V1.2 will be up shortly with a few more minor changes.
