Ridgeline Ridgeline Ridgeline is My first FH map post so bear with me if i'm doing anything wrong. Any criticism is appriciated. its an asymmetric map for 4 to 12 players. it has 2 bases and gets its name from the curved ridge-like wall running down the side of the map. I was inspired by "danger canyon", "hang `em high" and slightly by "MLG Regicide" it should play symmetrically and be well balanced although I have yet to have anyone test it. in the middle there is a structure which I just call the tree. the rockets are on it. It has a bridge to the top part of the ridgeThe ridge itself has 2 levels over the ground one is platforms like on regicide which connect it to the attacker base. the other is above it and connects to the defender's base. Supported game-types are: Team slayer, CTF, Assault, KOTH, and territories. the weapons are as follows: 1 camo- in attacker base (asymmetric only) 1 overshield- center of map rockets- center of map 2 snipers- in each base shotgun- attack base sword- defender base (symmetric only) smgs 2 maulers BRs 2 plasma pistols carbines 2 brute shots frag, sticky, & flame grenades 2 bubble shields- near bases trip mine regen's 1 deployabe cover 2 power drainers (attacker base's one is symmetric only) 1 human turret defender's base screenshots: Attacker's base defender's base "tree" overview Ridge overview defender's side overview attacker's side overview back part of map. Your map is not up to Forgehub standards. You need at least one picture of your map as well as the links to your map and/or gametypes that are specified, if any. also if you want to make your post a little better i would put at least 5 pics, that way people have a good idea of what they're downloading and to make sure they're not downloading a crappy map, not that this is a crappy map. Try to get it up within 24 hours or this topic will be locked by a moderator.
Hmmmmm, well this post is not up to ForgeHub standards. You need pictures and a download link. !?Welcome to ForgeHub?! ps. You have a lot of power weapons too, but it could still be very balanced. Sorry someone posted just as I did. Listen to him.
Hey man, for a first post it is pretty good. Try getting your pictures embeded. Anyhow, the map looks great. But it lacks interlocking and style. I think you should make a V2 with changes! good job. - 3/5 for me

well now that it looks better, the map looks kool. It has a great layout and design, but lacks originality a bit. it is open i can definitly tell, but looks like it can be easily fixed up. just a suggestion people(not me, i dun care) can sometimes get annoyed by the boxes being used as floors right side up, dont worry i did the same thing on my first post, Warehouse Road check my sig, many people complained. but overall it looks pretty good for a first timer. 3/5
i like the map. the forging is good, and looks strategic enough to play a solid game. the only problem i have with it is the ghost in the single box. it throws the map off.
I put it there to balance out the attacker's one. if you mean that its inaccessible, there's a teleporter in a single box which is in the defender's base for easy access.
good map but you can get out of it near the ghost box and in a few other places with a power drainer jump.
Ok I'll put in death teles to act as a barrier. Btw, how high can you jump with a power drainer? 1 single box high, 2? Anywho, thanks for the advice. update i've updated the map to be virtually unescapable by lining the boundaries with death teles. now, the only way to escape is in monitor mode or under 10 seconds after the previous attempt. the teles end up at a switch which has a dumpster & 2 man cannons at the other side. almost nobody downloaded =( i guess i'll just wait `till sandbox debuts... =(
