    Well, I know its been a while. A good few months since I last released a map. And finally, here it is. After a few weeks of forging, re-forging, and testing, I bring you... Ribcage.

    V2 Changes:

    I have made a few changes from the original version of Ribcage that some of you may have downloaded. Firstly, for 1 Flag CTF, I changed a spawn area that was misplaced, that should clear up the primary spawn concerns.

    Secondly, I added dumpsters to the top of the fence boxes to make it so a mere grenade jump or Fuel Rod jump will not allow access out of the map.

    Thirdly, I changed the location of the fusion coil in the attacker's base and removed one in the defender's base, making it so you cannot blast yourself outside.

    So, those are the v2 changes, now go find something else to complain about. ;)

    Ribcage is a medium to small sized map. It sports a mian arched hallway, or "Ribcage" which is based off of a similar structure in Halo 2's Burial Mounds. As a map geared towards Slayer and 1 sided objective variants, both bases are enitrely different. The defender's base has a structure that curves down from the wall, two sets of geometry merged walls, and entrances to both side passages. The attacker's base on the other hand has a central spire, a dumpster platform, very similar to that of Matty's on Reflex, but higher. Also, there is one geometry mergred wall. And there are the entrances to the side passages. Now, for the side routes. The first one consits of a series of platform in a narrow enclosed hall which requires you to jump up and over a central dividing fence wall. The other side passage has a series of window panels with bridges affixed to them, making you go under over under to go through.​

    Asymetric:​

    In Ribcage, there are slight differences in the asymetric version in gameplay and the symetric version. In the asymetric portion, the defender's base will contain a turret as well as two routes to the top of the curved structure. Additionally, the defender's have a bubble shield.​

    Symetric:​

    In the symetric portion, acess to the top of the defender's base will be cut off. The turret will be replaced with a power drainer. And, the attacker's get the bubble shield, placed just inside the first secondary route.​

    Gametype Support: ​

    Ribcage is reccomended for Slayer, 1 Flag CTF, Oddball, and 1 Bomb variants.​

    Nice to see a professionally done map like this by nobody other than the Yellow. This is a very well done map. That ribcage looks really awesome. Not to mention, great weapon set and this looks awesome for CTF. DLed.

    This might as well just get featured right now.

    very nice asythetics and looks from the pics very nice game play nothing I can really say that is wrong with it, good map all around so far that I see

    This is awesome! The Interlocking is so Clean and I think I see some geo-merging. Looks good I might download considering I'm not too big a fan of competitive maps.

    First of all Change your name back

    But now for the map
    It is perfectly neat like always and I will break out of it cuz you always forget the ability of people so have fun as i get out of your map

    I like the large playable aesthetics, they are much more fu then the trucks and barrels placed behind fenceboxes.

    I think there are getting to be way too many really good maps to choose from.

    Looks incredible, great geo-merging on the ribs, and the teleporter indicators for key points and weapons, and even the non-focal points of the map are great.

    I broke out i just grenade jumped off the walls by the fenceboxes and landed on the fence boxes it was pretty easy you can also use the brute shot it you feel like it.

    EDIT: I guessed on the brute shot cuz all of the other maps you map you always put a brute shot on so I didnt really look around i spawned right there and grenade jumped out.

    Its nice when people lie. You see, there is absolutely NO BRUTE SHOT on the entire map. And no one has been able to just simply nade jump,

    This looks pretty cool. Nice work you were working on this for awhile. But my only concern is that it might have lacked in testing. As I recall you were working on this merely a few days ago. That dose not seem like it could have been tested in that time. Like that amount of time it doesn't seem possible to test out all the spawns, game modes etc . Like all the 2v2 maps are having weeks of test, . Oh well i might just be completely wrong.

    Now to your map. You definitely have a lot of orginal stuff on it. I'm really glad you released another map, its been ages. Now for your bases, im curious as to how that plasma cannon plays out. I'm sure it will do fine.

    I'm going to download it and play it and give you in depth review at a later date bbut from what I can see it looks great!

    Well considering I've been testing as I build, and there are only three supported gametypes, one being slayer, its as good as it is going to get.

    I mean like testing for spawn issues, I can't imagine how you could test for spawn issues while build, let alone any type of testing.

    With that aside, I rofl'd at Sage claiming to break your map with a brute shot that's not even on the map. He is a little random some times.

    I downloaded your map, i'm going to give it a test right now. I'm about to get a party going, what do you recommend?

    Really I only made it for 1 ctf and slayer, but bomb is supported. Kinda like Project S. As for party, NO MORE than 6 people in a team game, and no more than 4 to ffa. Oh and I caught and fixed all the spawn bugs I could. Keep in mind this is a smaller dubs focsued map, and that no map is perfect. Every map has some bad spawn or another. One last thing, some people may hate this map, some may love it, it requires stategy.

    But, This map is also very very good, i like your geo-merging, and interlocking, its so like perfect.
    And your use of the flashing lights (a bit overused) is also very neat.

    Also, the map. Looks VERY beautiful, as for gameplay I dont know yet, hopefully Bl00D will let me play with him. But for looks, 5/5.

    Okay so I just played a few matches with Rusty, Shad0w and ScarFac3d.

    We played Team Slayer, Slayer and 1 CTF. For the most part the map looked awesome. All of your builds on the map were very Clean and neat. Everything was appealing and fresh.

    There is a few problems we had though. For 1 CTF we often found our self's spawning in the enemy's (attackers base). At other times people would spawn right in-front of me. Getting the flag some times was slightly tricky. I'm sure that was not the map it was probably me.

    Slayer spawns were the same, I some times had people spawning right in front of me. All of us did agree that this could be fixed. Another thing was your fuel rod gun, should be switched with a Rocket.

    The map played out good accept for the spawns, if they were switched it would improve this map a ton. I really liked the tunnel on the side, it provided an easy way into the defender's base. witch is great and unique.

    All in all its a map much better than others, just the spawns need work, and as for sage I really could not find a away out.

    If you do get around to fix the spawns, we will do a solid review for you, structured the way of the review hub.

    its about time we get another of your maps yellow. Flux is still on my hard drive, so ill check this one out for sure. btw i love all the tele lights, it shows you really care for the aesthetic side of your map. this definetly has a different look to it, (specifically the Rib Cage) and thats what ive come to expect from any of your maps. ill try to come back with a review.

    Wow you make great maps every time. Can't wait to see it on my xbox... I love the look of the rib cages. Never seen that before and I love new and unique aesthetics.
