Revolution is a puzzle map, the sequel to Absolution, and it is in the final stages of testing. The first thing i should point out about this map is that it uses a completely new system that is designed to make the map a lot more enjoyable. It works like this... In the hub there is a corridor that is blocked by 4 damaged columns hanging from the ceiling, held up by gravlifts, and at the end of this corridor is the oddball. In the hub there are also four different paths that you can take, each ending with a gravlift which you must destroy and then return to the hub. Once you have completed all four, the corridor will be open and you can get the oddball. The four paths are... Red path (illuminated by red light). Blue path (illuminated by blue light). Sky path (mostly takes place in the sky). Crypt path (mostly takes place in the crypt). This means that you can complete these 4 paths in any order you want, so if you get stuck, at ANY point, there is a way to return to the hub and try a different path. The paths are also designed so that you should never have to complete the same puzzle more than once. Overall, this system should provide a much less frustrating, smoother, and more enjoyable experience. Sorry that was a bit long winded, but i thought it needed explaining. Anyway, here are some picture previews... View of the hub (you can see the corridor at the back, blocked by a damaged column). A second view of the hub. The first room of the red path. The first room of the blue path. A room in the sky bubble. A room in the blue path. A room in the crypt path. The end of the red path. The end of the skybubble path (you can see the outside of the map from here). I will release the map once i am sure there are no breaks
This sounds like it will be epic. I always love it when there is multiple puzzles that you need to complete, and rarely have I seen somebody who actually made it so that you can change the order. The aesthetics also look very good. If this is at all as good as your other maps, you got my download. I do have a question, however; What weapon do you have throughout the game? It looks like if you had anything long range you could almost skip the end of the skybubble path. Edit: Your first two picture do not work. You might want to fix that.
You start with an assault rifle, but the only place that you can see that grav lift is from there with the sniper rifle. Trust me i have spent ages trying to make sure that you cannot destroy grav lifts from any place other than the one you are meant to. I'm pretty sure you cant skip it lol. The pictures work fine for me :S Anyone else not seeing them?
