    Map Description

    Retreat was originally a map I created for Reach which I based my initial design on. I have been working on and off for a while to get it just where I wanted.

    The map is asymmetric with indoor and outdoor areas. Red team has a larger indoor base with some long lines of sight inside, while blue team has a much smaller close quarters area. Snipers spawn in the towers in both bases. Rockets Spawn at the bottom of the map between red and blue bases. The sword is in the tunnel near the top of the map.

    The map plays best with 8-10 people with either teams or FFA. It is set up for Slayer, Flood, CTF, KOTH and Oddball.

    Map Updates

    2/24/2013 - Version 2.5
    • Completely reworked red base (now one large room with longer lines of sight and more cover)
    • Changed blue inside from divider wall to more open interior
    • Moved tower behind blue base and added a little cover
    • Flattened the tunnel on blue side to rockets (no more height advantage over rockets)
    • Improved split-screen performance by deleting extra pieces
    • Changed grenade ordinance timers from 90s to 180s
    • Changed upper mid bridge and structure in the middle
    • Removed extraction compatibility (may update later)
    • Current budget: $3685/$10000; Previous budget: $4765/$10000

    As a fan of smaller maps i can say this is looking awesome. Im going to DL and try it out but judging by the way the picture look with its clean forged insides it will be just fine.

    I agree with landderp, you did a good job with this map. I'm going down the list and commenting on the ones that look really good to me.

    After some helpful feedback on this map, I was able to make a few huge updates. The new file is in my fileshare and new screenshots are up. Be sure to download the newest version. Thanks to everyone who has given their feedback. And for a list of changes see the main post.
