    I worry about it..
If someone says you can beat a shotgun with burst fire i will have a whole lot of problems

I'm just saying, if you aim for the head you will do much better than if you spam the trigger. I'm estimating that with medium to long range weapons like the DMR and needle rifle that about 3 consecutive shots will make you very inaccurate, whereas, if you space them out a little you can pull off those 5 headshots in less time it takes them to actually hit you if they spam the trigger.

and they're saying you can beat a shotgun because you out range it and are way more accurate with burst firing. obviously if you see someone and you have a DMR the thing you should do is shoot them in the head, period, anything else is pretty much a waste of your time and you end up respawning because you didn't do it.

DMR is awesome, I think its a vast improvement on the BR. I like the one shot instead of the burst fire, and it looks and sounds better as well.

I think I like it so much because I use the FAL in MW2, shooting styles are very similar

I like it, however, it makes for much different swat gameplay seeing as you cant fan your shots anymore.

I actually like SWAT now, I hated it in halo 3, but now it has been vastly improved with the new DMR

The good thing about reticle bloom is that it introduces a new skill to Halo. Correctly using the DMR varies between trying to get lucky by spamming the trigger and hoping that the shot will hit them in a certain situation to timing your shots correctly and being able to shoot right when the bloom effect wares down.
I'm also a fan of the bloom because in a close range situation where both players melee each other first, the AR user has a good chance of winning the fight because the bloom goes wild after throwing a punch so a player cant do a combo with 1 melee followed by 1 shot to the head.
Now a good number of my tryhard friends say that they will not buy Reach because of the reticle bloom (they lost too many times...), but in reality:
    It was always there...
YouTube - Halo Reach Reticule Bloom Truth

Bungie might have just made the bloom on the DMR a little bit worse than everything else because it would overpower if it didn't have a bigger bloom effect.

wow, that seems pathetic, doesn't it? Instead of getting used to something new, lets just throw a fit about it and not buy the most anticipated game of the year. I think the people that complain the most about it are the ones that resist change whenever possible. I've heard some MLGers complain about this, and they just sound like a bunch of whiny babies.

ITS A NEW GAME. THINGS NEVER STAY THE SAME FOREVER. BUY THE GAME, OR DON'T, EITHER WAY, SHUT UP

BTW Loscocco I never thought about it that way, but it does bring some new skill to the table. in the double melee situation I would ALWAYS win, because I got used to the "shoot from the hip" skull and didn't need the reticle close range. No one should, come to think of it....

Yeah, I know, I just nodded my head in disappointment. They are just guys that thought that they were amazing in Halo 3:
I had one friend who was a colonel who kept saying "well I should be ATLEAST a Brigadier if not a General..." who also says that he carries me whenever he does better than me in 1 game while making excuses for whenever he does worse than me.
My other friend has multiple MLG 50s and many other 50s. He is amazing at Halo 3, but he is also incredibly arrogant and shows it by going crazy whenever he dies.

When you put these two people into the Reach beta, they were not used to it, died many times and started to go into RAAAAGGGEEE MOOODDDEEE! They made an excuse that "reach is gay because of the reticle bloom" and do not plan on getting it this September.

Pretty stupid if you ask me, but they are too cocky and cant accept losses...

Anywho another note on why reticle bloom is good: it shows who the better player is when they can act in a situation under a lot of pressure. Whenever someone gets in a fight that looks bleak, they begin to spam the trigger. Now, if two people get in a fight, the one that stays calm and times the shots correctly will most likely win.

agree 1000%. I met a lot of those people in reach, especially got some RAGE in a few my mag vs someone else's AR fights..... lol. its funny to make someone scream in frustration. when i die, i just accept it and get ready for the next spawn..... well, about 95% of the time anyway

I agree with everything else you said, but I saw no reticule bloom in the non reach part of the video, and I have never seen it in Halo 3.

in the video sure the reticule may not visually bloom, but the effect is still there, look at the pattern from the shots, when using more controlled fire the shots are closer together
