    Welcome! Thanks for stopping by.

Resource is a map designed by myself and tested by many to offer a supremely enjoyable and balanced competitive experience.

It is forged in the cliffside area (ala The Cage/Uncaged) in an effort to maximize framerate performance in addition to providing my players with a great surrounding view of Forgeworld. The layout was envisioned from the ground up to give even the most novice member of your crew all they need to stay oriented and comfortable at all times... especially after respawning!

Using the above image as a guide, team games have players opening north/south. The elevated western edge offers a quick (albeit risky) path between bases. The lower, eastern edge serves as both a regrouping point and a highly contestable 'hot' area, away from the influence of major sightlines. There are as many as five areas of interest to control on Resource, and all the power weapons spawn with these areas in mind.

    In no particular order --

The Sniper Rifle. 160 seconds, 1 spare clip. Since the upper perch is largely quarantined, the sniper is most effective when used to maintain dominance in this specific zone. Very tricky to use effectively on Resource, but predictably ruthless in capable hands. Blue team influence, but can be contested.

Shotgun. 90 seconds, 1 spare clip. Use the quicker respawn timer to help break impasses in the upper perch... or to further enforce map control in your teams favor.

Hammer. 120 seconds. Useful on the eastern edge, but devastating almost everywhere else, the Hammer acts as both a counter to the Shotgun and an additional tool to balance power away from higher ground.

Rocket Launcher. 90 secs, 1 spare clip. The path less traveled offers the final piece of Resource's balance puzzle, the rockets. They spawn in Red teams influence but are nearly unusable there and require higher ground to be most effective. The time used to procure usually hands Blue team the Sniper. Again -- use the reduced spawn timer to help break impasse; or cement the victory.

Resource is not jetpack friendly. Sorry. This map has been tested for your maximum enjoyment. All feedback is welcome.
