    Re: Map Release: Resilience

Sorry I was not avalible last night to attend the first custom game night which would have been the perfect time to play Resilience. However Wicked One and I were planning on finding another time where we could get all those interested to come and play the map. Aside from this though I would like to release the first details of our new map. Since the new maps will be coming out next Wednesday, Wicked One and I have decided to choose one of the new maps. Our choice will most likely depend on the avalible forging options for each map. We will be making a point to get together next friday and create, test, and finalize the entire map. As for my "indoor map" project, I have already progressed into other ideas inspired by Last Resort. As for this map, I have designed it to be a more fun and casual map that can be played with your friends. Wicked One and I will make a new post when both maps are released. Thanks.

Looks like a very balanced CTF map. I wonder what the weapon placement is.

    Update!

    Details Below, Please Read -

So Wicked One and I are releasing some more details about the status' of our new maps. You can expect both maps to be released by December 15th, some time during the day. As for my project, I am sorry to say that it will not be released as early as I said, but to look on the bright side of things, I have decided that it shall be built on Foundry. As for the gametype that I have chosen to be based around the map design, well, how about more good news. I have decided to design the map around fitting every single gametype possible! Kind of like Lockout from Halo 2(not in design but in its all around use). However, the concept still remains the same, "Ever wanted to play a game of paintball inside your house?".

As for the Project Wicked One and I have been thinking and proccessing, we have more details about it as well. We are coming closer to making the decision that our map shall be built on Foundry as well. My only complaint that I made to Wicked One was that, "I just don't want it to turn out looking like Elongation from Halo 2." But after Wicked One assured me that everything on the map could be deleted, I felt a little bit better. But I can assure to the community that to all the "elongation haters," I will make sure this map has no comparisons to it. So as of now, its look like Foundry will be used. Who knows maybe we'll throw in the Soccer Ball somewhere!

    Urgent!

I have more good news to those of you who are waiting for the release of Wicked One and I's new maps. I am releasing yet another map with the other two. Remember those times where you would spend a day at the beach and come in and out of the water, but then you'd be annoyed by the sand that would stick to your feet before you had to leave? Such movement relates to the kind of movement that players will be doing on "Day at the Beach."

The map takes place on Last Resort (obviously on the beach) and is a close quarters objective map. The map is designed to be primarily for Assault or CTF but can make for an interesting game of Team Slayer. The flags have been placed on opposing sides of the beach and a mini version of "Tunnel Raid" can be seen in the water alongside the beach. A Mongoose has been placed at each base for transportation purposes. As for the game changing element, rather than put a centrally placed Rocket Launcher or Spartan Laser inbetween both teams, I decided to put a Warthog in the middle.

Inorder to not make this a "dominating factor" about who wins the game, don't worry, just because the other team can drive around gunning away all of your teamates, have no fear, they'll be no match for your trusty Spartan Laser. Each base contains one so that the weapon placement is balanced. And just in case one team is able to get their hands on both Spartan Lasers and the Warthog, spawn in practically immediate and other weapons will be provided to take out the bastard with your flag. Also, flag carrier abilities will bill limited (wink, wink).

People interested in this map should wait until the other two are released and expect this one to be thrown in with the others all in one big post on ForgeHub/Bungie. Hope this helps add to Wicked One and I's "Multiplayer Forged Heroic Map Pack". Thanks for Listening!
