Well, I had plans for making a space-based map on Anchor 9; imagine my disappointment at the lacking Forge palette. Alas, I turned elsewhere. My previous map, Tartarus, was a rather small map set in the cave area of Forge World, connecting the coastline and the canyon. Although more ideal for double matches or tactical mano-a-mano, it was purposely designed for frantic 4 vs. 4 battles. So I took a look at Breakpoint and wondered if I could design something in a similar vein. Since I'm not going for the Forgetacular contest anymore, I'm not going to force 4 vs. 4; this map is much more suitable for 1 vs. 1 for 2 vs. 2. Nonetheless, for those who desire chaotic battles, I wanted to make it possible for up to 8 players to partake of the carnage. And that tunnel connecting the bases...it called to me. After a few hours experimenting with the Forge palette of Breakpoint (although more limited than Forge World, there's enough available to make something workable, if you can get creative), I got something going. Weapons are up, initial spawns are up, respawn points are up...basically, it's ready to go if you want to fire up a Slayer/Team Slayer game. I hereby present Residue, the first Breakpoint-based map on Forge Hub (I think). THE RED SIDE THE BLUE SIDE Mostly symmetrical (there are some minor differences in the layout of the tunnel that prevent it from being truly symmetrical, but I did my best), this is one cramped map. Hope you enjoy previewing it; I'll be looking for people to help test it over the next couple of weeks! [br][/br]Edited by merge: Residue has been released. Thanks to everyone who downloaded it and gave it a try!
