Rescinded-Zanzibar remake

    Rescinded-Zanzibar


    This is my second time attempting to remake Zanzibar and I am very pleased with the outcome. I finished with excess budget very few unexpected concessions and a larger variety of game-types that people can hopefully enjoy. This is a preview rather than a release since the map is completely untested in actual game-play.

    Camp Froman

    These general improvements are based on my previous remake

    General Improvements

    • Now starting at the coast so the map feels more aesthetically accurate

    • Vehicle spawns improved to reflect the original map more

    • Terrain smoothed and more accurate to original

    • Base of the fan actually accurate to original

    • Camp Froman more aesthetically accurate

    • Froman side rock Garden present

    • Defensive base properly scaled and more accurate

    • Camo tower rock garden more accurate should actually deter vehicles from entering the upper base

    • Camo tower scaled properly and more aesthetically accurate

    Game-play Alterations

    • Non Slayer games have a concussive rifle in defensive base Long re-spawn timer and shallow clip

    • Two plasma pistols added to map in place of plasma rifles near offense and defense base

    • Needler and needler rifle included near offense spawns

    • Rockets placed in offensive base for slayer games only

    • Health packs Included near points of interest

    • Two plasma rifles replaced with plasma repeaters near fan

    Major Concessions

    • The fan cant move so it was removed the top of the fan housing removed as well
    Side effects
    Increased LoS increasing ranged power​
    Counter
    Needler and needler rifle added into offensive base; Camo AA
    • The gate is either to complicated for me to get to work or potentially impossible so its removed
    Side Effect
    Defensive base allows vehicle entry and has a gaping hole in the side from start​
    Counter
    Concussive rifle added to disable stop and repel vehicles while also disabling its gauss rifle
    • Removed the generator in defensive base
    Side Effects
    defense can sit on top of pillars and shoot offense from above base, LoS increased
    Counter
    Make sure to look up: Bubble shield AA
    • Shotgun side of seawall has significantly reduced cover
    Side Effects
    Less cover for that path
    Counter
    Camo AA users advantage
    This map has only been tested in one player customs and Two player split screen and lag seems noticeable in split screen to me, Id love to hear any feedback
