Ya, twice in 24hrs I'm asking for ****. I'm selfish like that. I would love to see Forgehub push the community to build more creative maps, and considering how many maps get submitted, the benefit of forcing map design prerequisites outside of the broader strokes of size restriction 1v1, 2v2 ect could produce some fun results. The infection game type practically screams creativity and it is reflected in the maps produced. One thing that I feel hinders alot of maps is the easy symmetric map slump. Don't get me wrong, there are some great symmetrical maps out there but the best asymmetrical maps will always be better. I would love to see a FH contest showcasing the creativity and benefits of this format. The focus should be on pushing the boundaries in asymmetry while still producing a balanced and fun map. This request comes in response to the asymmetric-lite approach that 343 has been pushing.
Of course they were. Now lets test the community and broaden those boundaries in the name of creativity. God knows those CTF map makers need a good push. I say this while polishing one symmetrical map and starting up another. As a matter of fact almost all of my current map ideas are symmetrical. At least the most creative one in my head has way more going on than it's symmetry, and in truth it's not always entirely symmetrical
