Remixing the pre-DLC halo 3 weaponsets

    Scobra here is my link to stand off I am up for collaberation. I was worried about hammers and rockets next to each other.

    ISOLATOIN would work with Lazer rockets because stand off does it well.

    Pitfall UPDATE:

    Hey everyone. G043r just had a look at my map and gave a few suggestions so now there is an update to the map. I'll say that the map is only 90% done as the other 10% will be changes made after testing sessions. Also the teleporter system on this map is still epic (you have to check it out).
    Changes:
    - Added needlers as there was a lack of long ranged weapons. These are on 90 sec 1 clip
    - Changed spawns in the upper part of bases.
    - Moved/changed some objective points.
    - Edited the staircase up to the bases (if you dont know what I'm talking about have a look at the map). They are now more reliable and wont break.
    - Moved some fusion coils. These now open the back of the map a bit more for the ghost and also add some danger to the hill when playing KoTH.
    - Re sized and moved the central hill slightly.
    - Let the teleporting system continue to be epic.

    The map is now up for download on my fileshare. As another crazy idea what if I call this map The Pit 2.0?

    I am free tomorrow from 9 till 12 tomorrow EST (OMG I only just realized I'm in EST). If your online then expect an invite from me. Also I just realized I havn't added you on xbox live Knight Kninja, so whats ur GT.

    crypto your talking about the pit right? for a sec while i was reading it i was thinking about standoff cause G043R and scobra were talking about it..

    i'm going to a christmas party tonight so mebbeh mebbeh not.. i hate being so unpredictable and i apologize

    EDIT: no i won't be able to.. the party starts before 6:00 PST (9:00 EST)

    Just had play test of Pitfall. Pretty much everyones reaction was to git rid of the grav hammer AND lazer. My response to that was if I get rid of both then there is nothing to counter the ghost.
    So I went into to forge and editted the map. Here are the changes that are not final but have been made:
    - Moved brute shots
    - Removed active camo
    - Moved overshield to where the active camo was
    - Removed gravity hammer and placed a bubble shield instead
    - Moved central power drain to sword room

    no comment crypto, never got to play it.

    anyways, just wanted to make a comment.. i was going through the list of maps looking for maps i could change around and saw Heretic.

    Now, it's brand new, but i was wondering how it would play with a beam rifle. I placed one at shotgun spawn, placed carbines at the top of each base, an OS at the carbine tower (the one with the two explosive canister things), and a brute shot on each ramp heading up from the bottom of each base. i will take/upload pictures.. and i will do it for guardian too..

    oh, OS is at 180, as is the sword. Brute shots at 120, and beam rifle at 150

    The thing is Knight Kninja, Heretic already plays really well, and because its new it doesn't really need to be remixed. I guess we could give a quick test but I'm not really for changing Heretic.

    That picture is really interesting and the small section of the weapons are interesting aswell. Can't wait to see the final product.

    All the spawns and weapons are inside that highlighted circle. The rest of the map is accessible, but it's pointless to even go out there because of the close range weapons on the map. The name, Famine, comes from the fact that the power weapons (Shotgun and Battle Rifle) have no spare clips. When I was setting them like that it reminded me of the Famine skull on Campaign where picked up weapons hold less ammo than normal. I actually set the rest of the weapons to have a little less ammo (1 spare clip) to go along with this. I still need to do testing, but I think it will come out nicely.

    huh. Ok now I see how it works. That pretty neat but it looks kinda small. I guess we will have to test it sometime.

    krazy, i really like how it turned out. sorry guys ive been busy.. a good friend of mine passed away so i wont be too active for a lil while

    EDIT: btw, that would make a good one-sided map

    Hmm, one sided games would be interesting. I'd probably have to change it up with the symmetry options to make it play just right for asymmetrical games though.

    Also, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Someone passing away is much, much, more important than a forge forum.

    Hey everyone, this whole idea seems to have stopped a bit so why don't we all post where we're up to with our maps.

    My map, Pitfall, needs another test as I have tweaked the weapons (mainly reducing the ammount of power weapons/equipment on the map).

    So post your map(s) status.

    I'm finalizing all the spawns on Famine, and then Gopher said he would test it for me. Desolation is at a stand still because I can't think of ideas for the power weapons.

    Tested both Ratsnest as well STANDOFF, seems to me I'm moving in the right direction of things. I found a few SPEED bumps along the way. The fact Ratsnest file was deleted from my Hard drive as well Stand off has a few open map problems still that I continue to solve means the map is nearing completion but also has testing still left to do.

    So, I'm always looking for play test, as well maybe we should make an official play/test night for our group here. Start saying times you would like us to meet and play. We are nearing completion on alot of different maps but we still haven't played tested the crap out of these.... so I'm not satisfied till we do.

    COMMUNITY THAT READS THIS >>WE NEED YOUR HELP!

    Hey classic xd. So you want to help out? Although the title does say "remixing the pre-DLC weaponset" if you want to give Ghost Town a change go for it. We need all the help we can get.

    Ah kai, I deleted my post because I re-read the title.
    I could Blam! about with some other pre DLC maps aswell, Epitaph, Construct and teh Pit are calling me.
