Ya know, I was thinking about my Isolation map... What if I incorporated a Sentinel Beam somewhere on the map? I'm still not sure where to put it, but I think it could work.
hmm i have to agree that it does seem like a fitting weapon. speaking of a sentinel beam btw.. i could not at all take my brother out when he was in a hornet on construct
it isn't a question so much of why you couldn't but what did you try and fail at taking him down with. We have to have solutions but not always easy ones. Example Snipers are hard to destroy at range... an undercut path way that hides from the sniper allows you to sneak up to him. WIth the hornet you need ether a well placed PP shot, drainer, or sneak up and board him...
hmm and construct is well designed to do so... alright i will put in a few more plasma nades... mebbeh something else.. its going along fairly well
I think I'm gonna stop working on Construct. You seem to have it under control, and Im pretty much out of ideas. As for Desolation however...
of topic: WOAH! Isolation looks like a brain looking from the top. I have never seen that before. on topic: For grandstand Im thinking of taking out the maulers. Any suggestions?
krazy, i don't really see a power weapon that could be contested.... like rockets get fought over at first, but they don't last long like a sniper or something, where you have to keep it controlled or the enemy can use it. although the sentinel beam can be that. and Crypto, yeah you should definetly do something for close-ranged.. removing maulers would work. also, idk how many extra clips are in the shotguns in the corners, but they should be set to 0 if not.
the shotties are set on 1 clip at 120 respawn. I have removed the maulers. What Im working know is just finalizing the other gametypes such KoTH, Flag, Assault etc. Changes: - Added goose to attackers side for one sided objectives - Grav lifts now spawn 120 sec into the game (not at start) - Moved/changed oddball spawns, hill markers, VIP points and and some bomb points - Removed all maulers - Increased power drain spawn to 120 sec (because those completely own ghosts) Note: When I test this map I want to test it on Team Slayer, Multi Flag, One Bomb and KoTH. Awesome. I was one of the main pushers for the map remixing, and I'm glad people with better Forging skill than me, are working on this. I can test the maps with people, if they send me a game invite.
awesome, karl is here.. guys he is from bungie.net and he was with me when the idea was first conceived.. another person to help play-test and donate ideas. karl, if you read through some of the major points on here, would you mind giving any suggestions? even if you can't forge i would love your advice, or anything you have found to work well.. anyways, guys, school is now out for just about all schools! i will be on often and am planning on a LAN party, so maybe if everyone put the maps on their fileshare we could all download them and play-test them when able
how would I be able to join if you put on a LAN party? Also Grandstand is finished and ready for its first test.

I'm working on my construct map. The first thing I want to try is to make the fighting equal around the entire map. Because of this, the only spawns up top are in the lobby and sword room. I'm not sure how it will play but I'll find out. Overshield is the only power up top. Its where the sniper originally spawns. Rockets are below it, right next to the hole in the ground that goes into the basement. The starting spawns remain the same. One sniper is located where the spiker next to the missle pod was, the other is up against a wall near where the snipers spawns for MLG.
hmm interesting.. though here is my problem.. the top part of the map was better designed for fighting, plus with it being upper ground, it is a desireable place to be. even in MLG where the sniper spawns at the bottom, the top is the place to control. but i suppose with rockets and two snipes at the bottom, bottom ground would be a smart place for a team to control. try adding cover on the lower two levels to make them less hostile.
