WOW! Just a rookie too. This is Stunning. Looks a Guardian Remake. Sorta. The Only thing I would change is getting rid of the Fire Bomb Grenades, Make more surface for some spots and place the Shotgun away from a corner. 5/5 Nice Job!
How the hell is this a Sandtrap remake. Clearly looks like guardian. Nothing like sandtrap. Elephants? WTF, I dont see any elephants? Dude Lay off the crack!
Please post in the correct thread in the future Anyways the map is good, but fire grenades and complex jumps usually detract from the competitiveness of gameplay. Small slayer maps like this usually gravitate towards MLG type weapons. The gravlift jump you show should really be removed, or replaced with an interlocked lift like that of guardian, so it does not look like a temporary fix just thrown on.
I think he was kidding, at least, I hope he was.... I remember making a map with a Guardian-like design as well, I like your style. My suggestion though, would be to cool it on the weapons, there seem to be too many but I can't see the entire thing for myself unfortunately so I can't be too sure on that.
Just kidding ring a bell? You might want to get rid of the flame grenades, not really that good for competitive maps. Otherwise this map looks pretty good. There is some aesthetic detail I like in this map. The grav lift jump seems kind of annoying since you have to jump on that ledge. It's a bit inconvenient.
GTMQ, this is amazing, i like the guardian lifts, and the tunnel with the sniper is a nice touch, but likewise in the real sandtrap the elephant seems to go unnoticed and the lesser of the used vehicles... def put a shark on this map
Aha people are on meth. On a separate note, to anyone complaining about the lift involved in the strategic jump, it's actually part of a two part lift system, so it wasn't thrown out there. what most likely happened is he built the shotgun area, which is somewhat a secret route under the base, then saw the potential for a jump and moved the lift to a better place. And for my opinion.... the tin cups, teleporters, lifts, and some of the clocks around red base could have been blended better, and i was able to "escape" to the top of the map. Also, the weapon layout seems almost too similar to guardian in some ways, and i do however like the firebomb, as its not used nearly enough. For a second map post, good job. 3.8/5, could use a little bit of retouching, maybe a version 2?
