"You've really fallen in love with this design..." A Foundry favourite returns; FFA, TS, CTF, Bomb, Ball and KoTH. 2-8 players. I thought it might be a little arrogant to attach 'Remake' tags to the title, as this is only a remake of one of my own maps from Halo 3, Atrium, remade once already in Sandbox as Creatrium. I put a fair bit of work into this, but compared to the original it was a breeze to put together. It almost felt too easy, and in a way I was relieved when the same familiar hurdles appeared: I ran out of walls and blocks. I think I was always gonna do a Halo 3 custom map remake at some point, and hopefully now it's out of my system. I don't expect there to be too many, if any, old fogies who remember either Atrium or Creatrium, so I'd better give it a quick description: 4 small buildings enclose an elevated intersection in the middle which plays host to the Rockets. On opposite sides of this middle platform, two ramps go up and two go down. The ramps going up link with the upper levels of the four buildings, and the ramps going down meet them at the ground floor. The two larger buildings are the equivalent of bases, featuring an extra floor up top - the sniper spawn - and the spawn point for Objectives (marked on the above overview with the Flags.) The roof is a favourite feature of mine, drawing a great deal of inspiration from Aphoristic's Wizard remake, Witch. Check it out. The floor of the middle platform is also kinda neat. The map covers a small area, but its multiple levels ease congestion. There are starting points for up to 8 players in 2 teams of 4, but I wouldn't recommend more than 6 to be frank. Team or FFA Slayer is a blast, and Multi-Flag is very frantic - and in a good way. --- Weapons: 4x Designated Marksman Rifle @ 60. 2 Spare Clips 2x Needle Rifle @ 60. 2 Spare Clips 2x Plasma Pistol @ 60. 2x Sniper Rifle @ 120. 1 Spare Clip 1x Rocket Launcher @ 150. No Spare Ammo 2x Machine Gun Turret @ 150. 6x Fragmentation Grenade @ 30. 6x Plasma Grenade @ 30. --- --- Great. Thanks for reading, or more likely just looking at the pictures, and doubley-thanks if you're scrolling back up to click the 'Download' link.
This is a great map, the appearance is excellent. Especially the ceiling, I had a few 2v2 games on this and it was really fun. Good work
Excellent map in H3. I can see rockets being incredibly easy to pick up and bail with sprint in reach. I think bumping up the respawn time could help make the rockets not so incredibly. Then again I haven't played it.... YET! So uhh yeah... take from that what you will, Mr. Weremidgeypoo.
seems perfect for 2v2 battles which I have often. Downloading, although from the screenshots, it seems as if someone with a jet pack could really easily get around the map and quickly to the power weapons but IDK. I'll try giving feedback ASAP.
It's a weremidget map, so I have to download =) I was a fan of the original, although i always thought it felt a little bit dry. The ceiling is very welcome though, and I think this would be a fun map for some casual 2v2. Good work, I look forward to your future maps.
Gonna download and check it out, the layout looks really nice from the pictures, looks like it'd be perfect for 2v2's or small FFA's.

Not a bad point, but they are still in the most vulnerable position in the map, from which its not easy to get into cover too quick and also has hard angles to return fire from. But you're right. If I do another version I'll max the respawn time (I think it's limited to 180 or 200 seconds). seems perfect for 2v2 battles which I have often. That was actually my biggest concern, too, but when I tried exploiting the Jetpack in testing... it didn't work out so great for me. Maybe I'm just bad at jetpacking, but I don't know if that's possible. Thanks for the comments, guys.
This map deserve more attention! I've been trying to get a 2v2 or 3v3 flag game going on this map, but it hasn't quite come together yet. I had a lot of 2v2 fun in the Halo 3 versions, so I'm eager to try out some team games in Reach. I just notice the glass floor in the middle, too. Nice touch.
finally was able to play it and I loved the design. I also tried to jetpack my way around the level and found it very tedious, so great job with that. Hope you have more maps comin along the way
I guess I'm one of them "forgers of ole" that would remember this map design. I gotta say, I can't wait to try this out in reach. Downloading now, and I'll get back to you.
Yeah, I think it just elevates too slowly to really cut down on travel time that much. Vorpal Saint: You certainly would be one of them old-timers. Haven't seen you in years!
