“Some believe this reservation was at one time home to the native wildlife. 4-16 players” Refuge, being the largest map is the Iron Map Pack 2, features a vast amount of land to cover making it perfect for vehicular warfare. Players can take their fights to the dangerous grounds or into the long buildings that provide for unique sniper fights. Refuge is an asymmetrical map, but it is easy to find your way around. Each team has access to their own sniper rifles, shotguns, and vehicles while both must fight for the spartan Laser in the center of the map. Refuge is also made out to be an awesome track for those Halo racers out there. Weapons: DMR x2 Grenade x2 Grenade Launcher x1 Health Pack x4 Needler x1 Needle Rifle x4 Plasma Grenade x2 Plasma Pistol x2 Rocket Launcher x2 Shotgun x2 Sniper Rifle x2 Spartan Laser x1 Vehicles: Banshee x2 Ghost x2 Mongoose x4 Scorpion x2 Warthog x2
Looks interesting, but before you get my DL, I'd like to see at least one overview shot showing the whole map.
I Dl'd and this is a really cool map as far as layout and Aesthetics. However, I do have a few critiques: First, the map has noticeable framerate issues in single player on standard slayer modes, which is very problematic for gameplay. This can easily be fixed by deleting some of the extensive amounts of aesthetics, especially on the top of the center tower. There's just to many pieces clustered in certain areas. The Xbox just can't handle some of it. Second, and I always suggest this when they are present, but I highly suggest removing the banshees. They are really extreme against infantry, and your map is tight. It would also make using the other vehicles quite difficult. Since there are two of them, one team is going to lose theirs and lose a huge advantage, and if one team gets both... well then it's going to be a terrible match for that team, making people dislike the experience on your map. So, I just suggest removing them entirely. Third, make sure you double check for Z-fighting, as I did find some in a couple of areas. These also increase your chances of frame rate issues, so it would help all the more to spot them and fix them. Anyway, I see a lot of potential in this map, and I would love to play on it! Keep it up!
