The grav lifts are there just for looks, not functionality. And the reason you get pushed down is because that is the intention, to keep you from getting to the other side to help balance the gameplay. Atleast I know they're working right.
damnit, now I feel incredibly stupid. I was trying to get safely across for like five minutes and got killed quite a few times... lol well then I guess I have no qualms with this map.
