Actually there is a gametype mod where everyone has recon, so that is where you may have heard it from. But don't ask me for it, I don't have it, and its against the rules anywho.

Nope, the rumors are not true. Those are called mods.

 

Actually, I know what you're talking about. It's a film modification where it makes your character look like it has recon armor. It actually modifies it to any helmet, shoulders, chest, and colors. You can even make it look like you have the flaming EOD.

Of course, this is all against the ToS and shouldn't be promoted.

 

actually, there is a mod, used by some youtube makers to let people have any armour they want, of course, this cannot happen in matchmaking. And nobody else can see it in game.

There's a program called Mirage but there's not much point to it;
it only effects the videos or film clips
only you will be able to view the video, uploading it to your fileshare will get you banned as its modded content.
you'll need to buy a 360 Hard drive port (xport) for you're PC.

So the 'rumours' are true, just not worth buying an xport and downloading modding programs just for taking a screenshot of Recon.
