Reciprocate

    This is my submission to forgetacular for CTF but works with most objective gametypes and slayer/TS.

    I've always enjoyed making maps in my free time but this is my first serious map, and only one i have playtested with friends.

    Lets start with the bases. They are symetrical on each side of the map and give good cover for defence but not to make it an impossible fortress. There are two doors in each base and a "window" at the top across the front for a well placed grenade to aid in taking out defenders inside. One door leads to a ramp down to the bottom level and the other to a small open platform giving a good view of the top level, also a medpack and sniper spawn here.

    From the top level there is tunnels immediately after the ramp from the bases balconies. in the center of the tunnels is an opening with cover and DMRs. The bridge holds a needler and plasma grenades as well as objective points. the columns provide some extra cover and allow you to jump to the bridge. Underneath the bridge are medpacks.
    Theres a doorway to the inside of the main "military room". In slayer there is a window instead of an open doorway.

    Inside there are sandbags and crates to provide cover for spawns and firefights. Shotgun spawns on the ramp near the door/window. Inside the sandbag square is objective points. Across from the door or window is a double door to a hanging balcony over the lowest level and where rockets spawn.

    The bottom level houses some rocks and grass, I tried to make it feel like the "yard" of the building. There is a mancannon to jump you up to the balcony to get into the building or snatch up those rockets. Under the balcony is a medpack. Very open line of sights across the top from base to base.


    Admitedly, i could fix some weapon placements or times as the shotgun, needler, and rockets are near eachother but i found the map still played well.

    Looks like a pretty solid competitive map, a few issues though, The sand bags just sitting out in the open looks a bit odd, and the rocks jutting out of the metal is somewhat ugly and undesirable.

    However on the contrary the rest of the map is awesome and has nice aesthetics, amd I am a huge fan of the urban look of it, so a definite download for me.

    Thanks, I think deep down I knew there was something wrong with the rock design but couldnt put a finger on it. When i pick up my new Reach disc Ill definitely work on those.
