Ragnarok Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details Ragnarok is a Team Slayer map on Sandbox. It has some interesting features that can make gameplay unique. The sniper tower has a zipline that leads to the mancannon in the lower center which takes you to top center. It also includes a throwback centerpice that is a spiritual successor to the center of Sanctuary, the Halo 2 map. Here are the screenshots. Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details I will update this thread with a Weapons/Vehicle/Equipment list later.
Could use some more info, weapon list, what gametypes it supports etc etc.. Looks like a good map though
Not enough info to judge the map. Also why did you choose to name it Ragnarok. Don't name your maps cool names, give the name a hidden meaning. Ragnarok is Norse for Armageddon. It is a mythological event in which Hot and Cold will converge ending in the end of the days. So how does hot and cold come together in this map. I do not really see any thing that emphasizes elements of hot or cold nor red or blue. Give your maps meaning.
Impressive, good thinking, but honestly people dont build maps around names or hidden ideas, they just build maps. As the for this map, it has a good center, but the sides are way to barren. Side with the bridge over the middle has almost no cover, and will therefore be unused and the vehicles will be too overpowered. Rocket spawn is looking good with a good amount of cover, as well as a creative design. In fact the whole middle looks great. The bases on the other hand are lacking. They aren't the most creative structures on the map, and they will be widely unused as they do not connect to the middle. Try adding in bridges to the middle, this will result in much smoother game-play. The side structures are good, and will provide plentiful cover. But dont just make a center and base then throw in structures, try to make it all together, and have it flow nicely. I made that mistake many times, and those maps just aren't as good.
wut.... its not the name that makes the map, its the quality of the map itself. now onto the map, i like the center piece, it reminds me alot of multicog, but the ends of the map, and the slices between the bases and the center structure have almost no cover and seem like they would be suicide zones. with some more cover this map seems like it could be pretty epic
Who cares? Think this was said, but the bases are lacking a little...oomph. They need something more to spice them up. The arch in the base is good though. Maybe you could make the each sides bases subtly different, not enough to change the symmetrical game play, but just enough to provide some individuality and point reference as to which side you are on. but yeah, it is a damn fine map, IMO.
