Greetings, my Radical Ones! It is my pleasure to present to you all the Esthe Hunter Map Pack! Featuring 5 different maps which are all remakes of the core locations from anime-style, fetish-based RPG, Esthe Hunter! But just what IS Esthe Hunter, you may ask? In that game, you play the role of Chie Hamagawa, a nature-loving college student who applies for an internship for which she believed would help her with her studies in Biology. Little did she know, she would be the pawn of the plot sinister and greedy witch who is none other than my elven sorceress waifu, Pecil Zeinghart. Chie is then trapped on a mysterious island populated with creatures that are not of this world. Her only way to get home is to do Pecil's bidding and capture various creatures which are to (and you're gonna think I'm coo coo for Cocoa Puffs when I say this) be used as very unusual beauty treatments for Pecil's exotic spa resort. Yes. Really. Think I'm crazy? Just watch any of my gameplay vids I did on it for a Let's Play series! (Or the ones my friend, RKS 0723 did too) Anywho, in my spare time (which I apparently have WAY too much of), I've been remaking all 5 of the core locations in the game, each with their own features to it. Let us go over the maps in this pack... 1. Tsunado Woods "This immense, dense wooded area is what some of Xehesthu Island's rather unique wild-life call home" Special Features: Besides being a large map, and in most cases, laggy, the trees, should you get your hands on a precision weapon like a Sniper, BR, or LightRifle, can be shot through and if your aim is good enough, you can snag some headshots from across the map! Notes: This map and Soft Step Swamp used to work with another game mode I've made called "Scavenger" where the goal is to kill opponents with limited weapons you pick up from UNSC crates on the map. Soft Step Swamp "The endless sea of mire and the humanoid mud monsters from within lie in wait for their next victim. Hopefully it's not you, Spartan!" Special Features: This map has a special hazard to it, and no. It's not the Mire Maids from the actual game that the description mentions. It comes in in the mud bog the takes up a majority of the map. You can trudge through the lighter parts of the mud no problem, but unless you want your Spartan to die from sinking in the bog, I'd stay out of the darker parts of the mud. Or at least not stay in there long enough to sink to the bottom... Also, there's rocks sticking up out of the mud where you can snag weapons conveniently perched up on the rocks... Kalgahargi Jungle "This jungle is wrought with cheap cheesecake peril around every corner, including a 13-foot-tall carnivorous violet tulip with an appetite for Spartans!" Special Features: This map has a good bit of hazards to it to make note of, like a quicksand bog like on Soft Step Swamp in Red Team base, but not as big and it kills you faster. Jungle quicksand's much trickier than a bottomless bog. How so? It's almost living, it sucks the life out of you even when you're not moving in it. Even if you're a healthy or strong person, it will suck you dry before sucking you down. And it will suck the life out of you quite quickly. It is best to avoid it. Also in Blue Team side, the area next to the spring is peppered with trap holes that randomly lead to 1 of 2 traps, provided you're standing on a tuft of grass that drops you into one. Here's the two traps that can be tripped up... - Spider's Den: A swarm of spider-like creatures try to kill your Spartan as to them, dinner's just arrived. Avoid them at any cost and get to the vines that pull you back out to freedom! - Quicksand Cave: At least the mud here breaks your fall, but even then, not for long as you start sinking fast and gotta get outta there. Just focus and getting to the vines and get up and outta there. If you make it out of the trap, you'll regenerate at the spring. Yughat Forest "Little to almost no remaining vegetation and slimy spectres haunt this once beautiful forest landscape." Special Features: Nothing too noteworthy with this one. Other than the surrounding fog which restrict the players' sight to a certain range, making this map ideal for Infection. Talu Volcano "Lakes of all-consuming, tar-like Talu run through this mountain which served as the grave of many who've died braving this frontier." Special Features: As you might have guessed, the place is flooded with a black, tar-like goop known as Talu. It functions like the normal mud and quicksand on Soft Step Swamp and Kalgahargi Jungle. On difference is once you submerge, there's no hope for escape then. One way in, no way out. Just stay out of it... Knock your enemies into it instead! Laugh at them while they sink and suffer! Note: A bug has been reported with players randomly becoming invisible without use of active camo and bullets not counting for damage. This was brought to my attention awhile back... Just be careful of this, especially if you have a big game and you go to turn around and find thin air shooting at you.
