I'm not sure if you guys feel the same way, but I'm getting really annoyed with the amount of racetracks being submitted to ForgeHub. I know that the community is bursting with creativity and knowledge, but we only need so many racetracks! Whenever I hold a custom game, if I play on a racetrack its because there's only 2 or 3 people in the lobby, and I never download new ones! In my opinion you really only need one racetrack in your library. There's a whole different website out there for Halo 3 racetracks, HaloTracks.org. And I think that if this keeps up, then we'll just become a clone of that website. Sorry if this offended you in any way, but it's what I've been seeing lately every time I come to this website, and it's just been bugging me.
i don't really see the issue. The number of racetracks is still tiny compared to the competative, casual, and mini game maps. There are: -6634 threads in the competative section -3299 threads in the casual section -1423 threads in the mini game section -856 threads in the race map section. But i know that Races are gaining popularity because it is easier to make them on sandbox, but still, not enough people are making them to make me worry about FH becoming Halotracks. If you are mad about the number of recent Race maps being featured, vote "not my style" and get over it. There will be a new map on the front page in a couple days.
There has been a trend of cycling through the different styles of maps. Competetive>MLG>MiniGame/Casual>Racetrack and repeat.
Take a deep breath. Think slowly, and clearly. Does it really matter if racetracks take over Forge Hub? Are race tracks really taking over Forge Hub? To answer the former, no. Race tracks are not taking over. There may have been a few more as of late, but the relevancy is not apparent. This thread is locked, as there really isn't much that can come from this discussion.
