I am an avid racetrack driver and maker, and I have found that ForgeHub and HaloTracks are both major centers for race track genius that I love to play on. But I also have found that some tracks are advertised as such, yet feature deadly drops, hairpin turns, and single-wide bodies. Some feature flips, corkscrews and other features that are so dangerous to a racer that I even hesitate to take them with no fall damage.

This is not bad! Do not get me wrong! Some of the best times I have are racing my friends, only to find that we haven;t played but the first quarter of the track because we die on it.

I am also not saying that a good racetrack can not feature flips and loops. But I do not believe these tracks should be advertised as "Racetracks". I believe that these tracks should carry the Prefix "Rollercoaster".

Racetracks were originally meant to competitively race friends and fellow players around set track, using driving skill, speed and smarts to beat competitors to the check point. With the release of the DLC maps, tracks went from simple traced outlines on maps to such beauties as "Goose Flight".

Around this same time, Rollercoasters were born. These perilous tracks provided a dangerous and not too practical racetrack primarily for fun. Some are "Bridge of Gold" and "Halo Road". While these tracks are not "useless" or "pointless" whatsoever; these tracks; as I said before, these tracks are fun and provide massive fun. But I believe they should be set apart from regular, serious tracks.

I'm not saying that there should be a total new forum for these beauties, just a prefix.

The fact that a driver on a Rollercoaster must use plain luck and chance instead of skill to win a race upon them decides the fact that Rollercoasters should be set apart from tracks by a prefix. They provide fun and entertainment, are so much fun to make and test and contribute much to the traffic on ForgeHub, but do not provide an environment where skill and speed decide the winner.

    What do you think?
    Fiat Lux Mortem!

Well the distinct difference between racetracks and rollercoasters offer different excitements, as told by the following.

Racetracks---Competetive, action packed challenge with several people going for the gold! Usually it is a mongoose with people on the back with brute shots.

Rollercoasters---Offers adrenaline through every drop, twist, turn, and flip. The main point on a rollercoaster is to get to the finish, and not go off the track.

So it all depends on what you want to play, honestly, I like them both equally.

If the creation of a new prefix is what you really want to accomplish with this thread, then you should suggest that in the Customer Service section of the forums.

Well, i do, but i don't think it would work if i am the only one who believes this. I wanted to know what others thought before i pursued this more seriously.

It's a pretty good idea. Go ahead and suggest it.
