Let's say for example I've got a Rocket Launcher set to 178 seconds on drop spawn. This way it will respawn exactly every 3 minutes. Problem is that the engine also takes the first 10 seconds (in which you can choose your loadout before the match start) into account. Thus the first time it will seem like it will spawn 10 seconds too early. So if a match has a 12:00 minute time limit the first time the Rocket Launcher respawns at 9:10 left. After that it will spawn at 6:10, 3:10 and 0:10. 3 minutes apart like intended. So I ask: Is there any way to bypass this? To let it spawn at 9:00 and than every 3 minutes that pass. It's not a big issues, but it's still bugging me.
Uh first off i didn't even know the first 10 seconds counted. Taking that into thought....i doubt that there is a way. all you could do is every 2 and a half minutes and try that?
Setting it to 2:30 minutes wouldn't change anything. It would spawn after 2:20 minutes the first time.
Not quite what I meant. I meant more along the lines of setting it to 2:40 so it spawns every 2 and a half.
Ehm, that way it will spawn every 2:40. What I'm saying is that a match is actually 12:10 long instead of 12:00. Those first 10 seconds is the time when you see the loadout cam and you can choose your loadout.
If anyone had found a way to bypass this, then MLG would've already taken advantage of it. As a connoisseur of drop-spawning rockets, believe me, there isn't a way.
Troll solution: Set spawn time to ten seconds. Real solution: Merge spawn it rather than drop spawning it. Make it spawn on the floor at start then ten seconds in a block spawns sticking out of the floor slightly causing it to move and starting the spawn timer.
I'm going to go ahead and assume that was a response to the real solution and not the troll one. I just realized that if you did this, people would end up going for the rocket launcher ten seconds early because they are accustomed to the extra time subtracted from the spawn. I think your best bet is to just drop spawn normally and let players deal with subtracting ten. It's not that difficult.
