Ok I know theres been a ton of ruined city infection maps, but I wanted to get as real as possible with this one. Ive worked insanely hard with this map design to make it look realistic and partially futuristic simply to fit the forerunner theme and the halo universe. Take a look and play it out before you write it off, its a pretty solid layout. GAMETYPE: the zombies cannot jump and move at the same speed as the humans but do not have sprint. The zombies are equipped with plasma pistols hopefully to flush out any campers over time, and do not have the ability to lunge so that the humans can get to some getaway spots to make it more fun. Now Ive tried this with around 6 or 7 people at max and some werent aware of the game and quit but this map is recommended for at least 10 people. 16 people would be insanely fun. Ive edited out mistakes and made secrets to the map and I think it should be a success. screenshots going around in a circle throughout the map yellow light district vacant car street vacant car street (view 2) red light corner red light corner viewing underpass underpass street looking into some of the enterable buildings main enterable building for those wondering, this is NOT based of off bayfalls, or the spitters gametype. In fact, these are the basic attributes to Putrefaction gametype Kyler X2 and I (mostly him) made a gametype like this and I based it actually off of that. We tested it again and again and these are the attributes below: it is 3 melees to kill a full-healthed human and 2 melees for a human to kill a full-healthed zombie. zombie damage is greatly reduced but melee is at 300% making melee basically their only option. The idea was that if 1 human and 1 zombie go toe-to-toe in close quarters melee combat, that the human will probably win attribute wise, but will take a beating. When faced with melee combat with 2 zombies, even the fully-healthed human will die. this makes keeping distance crucial, and lack of zombie lunge makes it actually possible for a human to run away, but possibly into more zombies. This makes for the most realistic gameplay ve seen from infection.
Sounds like Mr Pokephile's "Spitters" gametype for Bayfalls City. Anyways, I've seen many city infection maps, but this one looks very realistic. I like the looks of the underpass section. I can't say much else until I try this out. Great job!
Hmm... now that I see that.. it does. A lot of stuff straight from a video about it on youtube... was it pokephile's or THFE's? Anyway, if it is true that it is based on pokephile's gametype, you should mention that in the op.
Pokephile's, and I'm not exactly sure if he made it on his own and never knew about the original or that it is meant to be used with Spitters. Either way, it sounds like Pokephile's.
great looking map. alot of detail went in to making it look as much like a city as possible.. couldnt really criticize the map cuz from what im looking at it looks spot on in comparison to a city.. nice job you got my download..
thanks for comments guys! And to tell you the thruth I saw the spitters gametype and have played and this is different.
