"Pulp Paintball" by Pulpapple Pulp Paintball is a Reach proxy of Speedball. Traditional aesthetic paradigms may have been broken, but gameplay is still very appeasing and requires more team coordination to win versus your average paintball map. I've worked on this map for a few weeks on and off, but I finally have the technology to present it with details in the video and description. "Pulp Paintball A few disclaimers, the map works on a slayer gametype. I realize KotH versions exist; however, I believe it would be fair to portray the amount of times players tagged another person - regardless, it will be blatant which team was eliminated every round, for a total of five rounds. The game is is generally quick compared to other games, even with larger lobbies - but the party leader may always decide to commence a new game. In retrospect of testing, larger lobbies proved to be dynamic while smaller lobbies proved to be more tactical. If a player is in need of extra ammunition, advance to the lateral side of the crate and hold x as shown in the screenshot below. And this will officially be my first video on a new YouTube channel dedicated to Halo machinima/map overviews. Wish me luck! =]
Well the aesthetics are different from many paintball maps I have seen. This looks like a fun casual game to Play to break up the monotonous gameplay of competitive maps.(playing competitive for a long time can be tiring) I like the idea of the "ammo crates" It would be interesting to see a paintball map with height variations though more like a paintball course rather than an arena(if I am making any sense?)
this map looks great, there is alot of cover and things put into the map wich is good.. i can see this being insane fun with 16 people.. and i like same of the detail you put in.. allthough you could put in more pictures even though you have a video because its easier for people to see the whole map and alot faster..
Yes, the crates were nice. And I was lucky to find out that small weapons can phase through the first layer. In a way, I believe paintball can be considered more competitive - as you have one life, hit, and must play tactically with your teammates...but this is all of that with less pressure. I wanted to add height variations, but that would diminish some of the balance in a speedball map. I think I may try a what Goat said below some other time. As for now, time to compose more music! [br][/br]Edited by merge: Pictures are time consuming and less enjoyable than a video. If I displayed every bit of the map, it would come off as a little less fresh to players that just downloaded it - and besides, you can always pause the video at certain angles of the map [which I gave plenty of] to see a near full glimpse. And yes, it is fun with sixteen people. ;D I only had the opportunity of playing it with around eight when creating this video.
