Im having a problem with spawning in the crypt on sandbox. i have placed spawnpoints in the crypt but i spawn on the regular part of sandbox. is this just in forge? (i havent played it on in customs yet and im not home right now) how would i fix this?
You could try setting the gametype to slayer and putting starting points in the crypt. I have always had problems spawning in he correct location on SandBox so I usually just place sender nodes in the place i tend to spawn the most, and a reciever node where I am forging.
Hes right about this partly. In Forge I believe that when you change the gametype to slayer it will only spawn you on those starting points until you end the game. Otherwise, every starting point from every gametype is affecting you. Your best bet, like he said, is to move the starting points or place teleporters so you can easily access the crypt. In Customs You will start on starting points placed on the map that you can't see in forge until you change the gametype. So if you don't want to start in the main level of sandbox than simply move the starting points down to the crypt so when your custom game starts you will start down there. Hope I helped.
Well actualy, the problem isn't spawning in the crypt, it's the fact that you are using sandbox. Sandbox has many problems that nobody can explain: such as walls "moving" when you save them... or a geomerge popping back out of the ground after saving and quitting. Many of these problems have no solution, so my best reccomendation would be to stick with Foundry.
Yeah, when you play it in custom, all of your spawn points and everything will work perfectly. But make sure you change the gametype and put starting spawns. And yes, forge usually spawns you in the middle level and it's really annoying.
lol, Dow you would say that. @ OP: make sure you have starting points and respawn areas placed for each gametype.
Well saying that I've played on blackout for example and if theres only like 3 of you then you tend to spawn in a certain area
