Yes! About time someone agrees with me. Well, somewhat at least. I believe that Biden would make a better president than Obama, but Obama is simply more electable.

If the terrorists wanted to pull off another 9/11, they would do it whether or not our army was over there.

I know it's not exactly what you were talking about, but I got in to a similar discussion just a few days ago with a redneck friend of mine.

Nothing against you, but I can't stand this "might be assassinated" stuff. I've talked to people who bring that up as an argument against Obama. They use the possible assassination as a debate tactic, and then in the same breath voice concerns over Obama's supposedly shady dealings with terrorists; it just screams hypocrisy to me. Terrorism isn't limited to someone halfway across the world planning America's demise from within a dank cave, a much more relevant kind of terrorism comes from people within our country. Allowing homegrown racist fringe groups to sway your vote is very much giving into terrorism, and is far worse than any kind of nebulous connection Obama once had with a 60's, radical anti-war activist.
This is another terrorism thing that gets to me, (not trying to pick on you) but how much damage can terrorists cause? Is it over $816 billion, the amount we've spent in Iraq? Or the $2267 we'll eventually spend by staying in until 2016? Can the potential terrorist chaos justify the fact that, this year, the US spent more on military spending than Europe, China, Russia, and nearly the rest of the world combined?

"But you can't put a price on the human suffering that terrorism causes!"
*Vehemently opposed to universal health care, puts a price on human suffering*

    God Vs. Obama

Well, it's finally here......it's time for a God Showdown! Listen as this Pastor at a Mccain rally basically calls God a ***** if he let's Obama win. He says that God's reputation is on the line. This isn't just smack talk, it's Godsmack Talk.

Well considering the website that published that article is called 'obamacrimes' and is the online representation of the guy who filed the lawsuit against obama, it's a safe bet to assume it's not the most objective. Obama failed to respond to the lawsuit, thus 'amitting' the charges filed - but might I suggest that he failed to respond because the charges were completely erroneous in the first place.

If you can find independent sources that relate to each of the charges filed, that's a start. That site as it is doesn't mean anything, in my mind. They have a donation link on the page, right next to an article that's bound to pull in loads of traffic. Hmmmmmm...

You don't have to be born in America to be a born US citizen.

No, but you have to be born in America to be president. By the way, McCain was born in Panama.

No, you don't. You have to be a natural born citizen, which doesn't necessarily mean being born in America.

    ....Maybe. If I'm remembering correctly.

I got this from a Snopes.com article that responded to a similar claim (note that I've edited out some of the more direct responses to the original claim that Snopes refutes):

You know Fox News was all over this story:

Factcheck.org comes with the truth, though:

It doesn't really even matter anymore though because hes already running and if he wasn't proven then he wouldn't be running right now.

You, my fellow Illinois friend, hit the nail on the head. I too come from Illinois, and never, EVER, trust a politician from here. Please excuse me, but Obama is so friggen corrupt it isnt funny. He would immediatly, if he wins, do the following

    A: Raise taxes
B: Sink the economy even more, whilst McCain's plan will help it.
C: Ruin foreign relations with other countries.
D: Would probably chicken out of helping any foreign ally in a war.
E: After all that, Get impeached by the people.

Im sorry, but Illinois has produced very few "Good" politicians. McCain and Palin have the experience and the plan to help this country restore itself to its full might. Obama-Biden is almost completely relying on Internet donations and Rich peoples money. He is favoring the rich, and not helping the middle-class. Obama is not ready to lead. McCain and Palin are.

This would make sense, if we were all living in Opposite Day land or something.

Btw, how would Obama-Biden ruin our foreign relations? Not only are they so bad right now that I'm not sure there's much to ruin, but Biden has a lot of experience in that area, which is one of the main reasons Obama picked him.

Seems to me you have a lot of opinioned ideas that are not backed up by much truth or facts.

guys.. Obama is a COMMUNIST!!! He clearly says that he will raise taxes of the rich ( hard working Americans ) and lower taxes/ give money to poor ( those who slack off and disgrace the USA ). With this plan why would anyone want to get a raise or get more money because then they will just get taxed by Obama. He is going to punish those who work hard. Eventualy we will catch on and no one will even try because whats the point, the government will save me. By that time Obama will have no one to tax and with his 1 trillion dollar spending plan, our economy will be worse than before. so... VOTE McCain not HUSSEIN

^^^^While some of his ideals are blatantly socialistic, I wouldn't call him a Communist without proper evidence. As someone who supports McCain, even I found that a bit much. I have my own issues with the guy, but none that would lead me to call him a Communist, at least not among what is supposed to be an intelligent discussion.

    ############EDIT

You're absolutely correct. I've had a friend a friend for years who was born in the Philippines as an American citizen. Ever heard of soldiers with families, guys??
