Catherine's not a PS3 exclusive, it's also on Xbox. It's a game about a guy who dates two girls (Katherine and Catherine) and the gameplay consists of relationship choices, conversing with friends at your local bar, and battling giant demons by moving blocks in a dream world filled with sheep. It's extremely unique and has got people's attention because of it's sex appeal and quirkiness. It's not by any means a blockbuster, but it has a pretty large cult following.
I doubt that reflects the actual sales in any way. I know that my local target gives away the preorder bonus even if you buy the game months after release...
Agreed. Game in Norwich give out the preorder bonuses at midnight release even if you just walk in and buy the game without a preorder. You're not even supposed to be able to do that, midnight releases are supposedly for preorders only, but they never enforce that. Not sure about if they do it afterward, but I wouldn't be surprised, any extra incentive for sales will help them, and why keep left over bonus content sitting around for no reason?
I just pre-ordered skyrim yesterday, It's gonna be epic. I'm putting off FPSs for a while after skyrim comes out just because theyre getting old. And because I won't have any time to shoot people while I'm bust killing dragons for a full year after skyrim comes out.
