I just came back from seeing "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark." The writing and art direction was crazy good, but the execution was terrible.

Characters did not give two shits about the little girl's well being at any point in the movie until Katie Holmes ****ing grew a brain. Hell, the little girl would kill some of the monsters and in one scene a whole dinner party failed to notice the mangled remains of a creature.
Goddamn!
