Sometimes I wish I had a widely read political blog to rant on, if I rant on facebook I just have my hick aunt and cousin reply something mildly bigoted.

I prefer to think of myself as an indendent conservative, that way I don't have to be associated with Beck, Trump, or Palin...

 

But... they are all conservatives...

 

maybe, but conservative is, in a way, simply a measure of political view. Republican is an association with a group.

 

That's like saying you hate black people, but don't like being put in the same category as racists.
