Extortion If you want to get into technicalities, the only thing I'd be even remotely tied to would be slander. Everything on the map was of my original creation, there was no promise of payment or release of the map, therefore it was "volunteer" work as he had not contributed any ideas to its creation. Thus it is my creation and solely my creation to do as I please.
The extortion was the coercing Chuck to make the anonymous comment by threatening to do it yourself, then tell QKT that Chuck had written it, not you. It had nothing to do with the map. I'm sure Chuck remembers this.
But you're extorting him to perform services (leaving the comment) using psychological coercion, that is, threatening his reputation.

No, because the "extortion) as you put it, the actual part that got him to do anything, was me saying I would work on MY map alone. The "slander" bit was posed before, and had no effect, he wasn't willing to do it. Not only that, but one can go as to far as to say it was a joke (if we were representing this entire situation in a courtroom) as we are friends. "Well if you don't do, it I will" except farther, and again, ineffectual. Thus not being "extortion" or even "slander" really. Which brings us back to the only "extortion" claim you could logically make, about me working on my map alone, which I already explained. I'm not saying this didn't happen, you're just mixing terms up. edit: see chuck summed up my entire point.
I just heard about The Dark Knight Rises. Looks like Batman is going to have his back broken, if you know what I mean. There's no such thing as "nothing". Empty space, yes. Nothing, no. After my own heart. So you feel like I've betrayed your confidence? It's just QKT, who cares. What VC don't know don't hurt him. Which made him do it. So you threatened him with lack of credit if he didn't do something you wanted him to do. Extortion.
whats worse shuman, threatening to ruin a reputation, or calling somebody out for threataning to ruin a reputation, in turn ruining two reputations including the original no i dont feel betrayed, like i've said, i couldnt give two shits about my reputation (or QKT lol)
See the previous point about MY creation being MINE and MINE alone. I was going to rebuild the entire map, thus making his involvement amount to absolutely nothing. Considering everything on the map was my idea, it's "legally" my right to do so (to "fire" him, essentially). Meaning there is nothing to go on.
