Guys, I need an intellectual appeal to why we need to save the penguins. I'm writing an English paper (11th grade).
Killing off any species can dramatically alter nearly every food chain, directly and indirectly. Theoretically, by killing off the penguins, you could start a chain reaction that ends life on earth. I did an entire document about how kill polar bears would end mankind and cause the number of flies to drastically increase lol, something about spiders. Either way it worked wonders.
Sounds like it would work seeing that that everything else in my paper is total BS then I throw down that facts and I was using the leopard seal as the penguins enemy instead of the polar bear. I don't know how spiders would be affected. Maybe something about it being too cold.
No, i went through food chains. They feed sea leopards, which feed some sharks, which feed on blah, which eat blah....... and took it all the way to spiders, which would go away so there would be too many flies and they would consume us (as they do in areas they overpopulate, our food as well.) Basically, it was all supported by facts n stuff, so i got a great grade for that and creativity lol.
