Source: MLGPro.com Pulling off a 19th place finish when coming to Anaheim as nobodies is impressive to say the least, and even with the diminished open bracket of a west coast event, 3-0ing Active Rush is hard to argue with. Many are calling fluke at PwR's Anaheim placing, but obviously the defending National Champs disagree. I'm hoping that the LAN scores are posted when it goes down, I'll keep and eye out and post then here or in the general Orlando thread if they are. Until then, what are your thoughts on Power Gaming?
Flying out to the West Coast of the US shows a dedication to the game that easily matches anything that the top US and Canadian teams have ever done. That alone had me rooting for a good placing for them in Anaheim, and it has me hoping to see some of their gameplay on the stream at Orlando. Still, without having won at a LAN against any top US teams yet, I would be quite suprised if they place top 8.
Have not seen/heard of them. Is their gameplay on a already posted stream? If so, can somebody link me to their gameplay?
You never heard of them? They came in to Anaheim as nobodies and took 19th. You can find some here. Scroll down to the Losers Bracket section, you can see them vs. Active Rush (3-0 bihatches) and against Take Respect.
The Buk twins have actually attended an event before with a team called devastation. I use to play with these guys a lot but I rarely play at the moment but still followed what these guys did. Placing 19th was awesome for the guys but awesome for European halo in general. I think another team call LLL are going to Orlando along with PwR. PwR getting to LAN str8 before Orlando should help their push for top 16/8.
Yeah, I'd heard that the BUKs had been to a couple of events before. It was just impressive for a very new team that no one really took seriously. One of them, I think it was Baxter, had never been to an event before. My house mate knows someone who lives in the same town as the BUKs and plays with them a lot. I've been hassling him to get some games but to no avail, and I'm guessing they're gonna be very busy until Orlando. I think SK Gaming are going to Orlando as well, they're Fragtale's team and were the big name in EU Halo until PwR came along apparently. Should be a good event for EU Halo as well as US.
