I just thought of something very interesting. A closed in arena-like map on Foundry (naturally) that has an equal amount of Power Drains on each side that are instant respawn. I was thinking of having the starting weapon as the Gravity Hammer because of the utility it would have in possibly deflecting/destroying the Power Drains. My questions are, is there a way to make so you can't kill somebody with a hammer? Are Gravity Hammers capable of deflecting Power Drains like they do rockets? Can you kill a Power Drain with a Gravity Hammer without dying?
if the hammer would do 0 dmg, you wouldnt be able to kill i think? but its under game settings -> base player traits -> Weapons and damage -> some option there
Instead of making the hammer do no damage, make it so players are invulnerable? I don't see how you could kill someone with just a power drainer.
that sounds quite rubbish, maybe make players damage resistance higher, so the drain would still draw all their health, but a hit from a hammer wouldnt?
You might have to lower damage resistance so that players are more vulnerable to exploding power drains. Hopefully doing that will increase the kill radius of the exploding power drain, since no one is going to hang out next to one that is about to explode. You might also think about player damage being 0% or 5% (if possible) so that you can still do damage. I can imagine that this might be really fun for a few games, but won't have lasting appeal. You're in the arena, an enemy throws a power drain behind you, then charges with his hammer. If you back up, the exploding power drain might kill you. If you go forward, his hammer might. Or imagine getting bashed with a hammer and getting knocked into an exploding power drainer and dieing... that would be cool.
I agree with everything Furious D said above. You can only put damage on 25% or 0, so I'd recommend 25. Then put it on low gravity and put a ceiling on the map. And of course, instant respawn the power drainers. Could be a pretty fun minigame, just make sure you don't make the game last to long, otherwise I could see people getting bored of this, as Furious D mentioned.
Yes but with the drained health from the power drain then the hammer could kill them. I don't really understand this idea.
Hmm... maybe instead of just Power Drains, put on some Mines and a Regenerator? Equipment Wars then I guess

Is it me or am I the only one who doesn't understand how a power drain war would work if they can only drain your energy not kill you unless you are next to it when it explodes.
Ok, here's an idea: Lower damage resistant Raise shields up to something like 200% Make weapons do minimum damage. Add Regenerators and maybe one tripmine at a central location in the map. This will let players who were lucky/smart enough to grab a regenerator survive, the downside being that they sacrificed their drainer for it, meaning they couldn't kill, only prevent their own death.
There would be enough power drainers spawning due to the instant respawn that there would be explosions everywhere. Also, the map wouldn't be too wide where you could just walk away from the explosion.
