It definitely takes some getting used to, but once you naturally memorize where everything is, it makes opening/finding programs a breeze. Really it's just a preference thing. I don't like having to minimize all of my programs just to get to the desktop, so I just put all of my shortcuts in the quick launch. It kind of gives it a Mac-ish feel (but not really). I'm still experimenting with it though, so who knows what it will look like a week from now. I am a little distracted by its length sometimes.
I'm just going to drop a few in here. He only had one visible quick launch icon. I think you're talking about the icons in the dock. PS: Quick launch freaking rules anyways.
Launchy? Sounds cool, I'll go google it... Hmm, that could be helpful. I think I'll give it a try. I don't think it could replace my beloved quick launch though. Yea, that's what I meant. Notification area, dock, whatever you want to call it. I just called it a dock because some website called it that. There's no need to be rude about it.
Reworked it again with a new 'Destroyed city look" Wallpaper. Thought i turned out pretty well I had to make the Icons, being i didn't like the ones i had before. Customized my RSS Feed abit, and wanted to have a random Trash icon so i put him over on a building somewhere
ive been working and optimizing this for a while and now the entire OS with Vista themes and functionality and XP speed is only 3.7GB. And it runs damn fast.
