Personally, i'm not a big fan of any of those. I like AIM. Because it's the only thing I use. But for now i'm using Pidgin just because it comes here by default on Ubuntu. But if I really wanted a multi-protocol chat client, it would be Digsby over everything else.
That's the only reason I began to use Pidgin also, after my installation of Ubuntu, but I've really come to love it. My only fault with it was that I couldn't use my Xfire account, but the Gfire addon solved that. ^^ EDIT: Might as well update while I'm here: Just showing off my new desktop embedded terminal and gDesklet. EDIT (Again): I don't know why Photobucket resized it to 1024x768, it's meant to be 1440x900, so that's why it looks slightly blurry. =[
Thanks, it's not really relevant now as Linux doesn't use the term 'Local Disk'. A throwback from my ol' Windows days, still, the thought was there.
I use Screenlets (though not anymore), theres just more to find about them. But I thought they really cluttered my desktop so I just dont have widgets anymore. But the embedded terminal looks handy. Do tell more. EDIT: My desktop
I used to use screenlets too but they kept glitching and reseting themselves to I just got annoyed with them. Now I just have my quote of the day for daily lol's. You can find the embedded terminal tut here, but beware, as it can become irritating as you do not have access to the space behind the terminal, even if it is transparant, so if your default save location for Firefox is the desktop, you will have to use: Places -> Desktop to see it unfortunatly. Any chance I can rob your background in return? XD
Yeah, I was just reading on it. Anyway, sure you can the wallpaper. It's not like I use the Terminal anyway. I use it when it's absolutely necessary but other than that, nah. Wallpaper: http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/4278/cassetteman.jpg
Blah... I only care for the Wallpaper not about what operating system I use. Or about why Macs are better then windows crap I always hear.
and no this isn't faked, I just took a screenshot of a screenshot until about 30 times later...saved that one, and made it my desktop.
Yeah no problem. I'll probably .rar or .zip everyone here all the wallpapers/gdms/themes I have found from scavenging the internet sometime.
