Here's one for you Nemihara. Always shouting about how great Linux is with it's flashyness. Windows Vista supports more programs and can do everything Linux can do.
It runs many more programs than Linux can, and many more mainstream programs. 3rd party programs are not needed to replace basic programs on Vista.
I am running Windows Vista on my Laptop with 1GB of RAM with a 4GB Flash Drive with ReadyBoost applied. Everything runs nice and smoothly.

Does Vista have a virtualization client as well? Because whenever I need Windows programs, I just load up a virtual Windows guest OS and run it. Also, Linux can run both Linux apps and Windows apps using a program called WINE which, more or less, emulates Windows.
Not that it matters. Soon, my boot camp shall be finally set up! Yay, Halo 2 Vista, here I come!

    Well actually... Yes...
It's called Ulteo, does exactly what you said Linux can do, but it does it for Vista so it can run Linux programs. Vista>Linux

Yeah, well, at least nearly everything on Linux is free, and legally so. And open-source. And it's very community driven. Windows is only driven by money.

When you buy a new computer you spend money in the thousands. When it's pre packaged with Vista you're paying approximately an extra $100, nothing compared to the overall price.
Not only that you know it will work. Especially with dual screening.
Linux is pretty much impossible to get working with dual screens.
And what are you talking about this community stuff? There's a much huger community for Windows then there is Linux. Just look at Deviant art for themes etc.. And do you know how many websites there are for Vista tweaking and the like?
Let alone the Xbox360 and it's ease of use with Vista and the huge community involved with that area.

    Vista>Linux

    Vista>XP
I don't understand peoples hate for it.
It does exactly what I want it to do. And better then XP. XP took a lot of 'configuring' to work. Especially with my 360...

Wow, I am totally lost... Though I kinda felt like I learned something. All I know for sure is people will favorite other OS over others, and it will be a never ending debate =/
Now ontopic before teh mods catch us off topic (though I guess it wouldn't really matter)

It was for me, but if you feel it isn't worth the risk, don't buy it.
BTW Chips, how is Tiger better than Leopard?

And, just to feed the Vista topic =D:
