On my HG I'm currently at Blackthorn with this team: Typhlosion level 44: Swift Flame Wheel Flmaethrower Strength Magneton lvel 40: Discharge Spark Magnet Bomb Thunderwave Staryu level 40: Swift Bubblebeam Recover Surf Pidgeot level 38: Agility Fly Gust Wing Attack Umbreon level 35: Quick Attack Iron Tail Shadow Ball Bite At the moment I'm not really liking my team. I think I'll go through the Elite Four with them and get a whole new team. I was thinking: Weavile (definite) Metagross Salamence Gallade ?? ?? As you can see, I', not sure on the other two. Suggestions would be helpful.
I don't know if this has been brought up, but you guys need to check Pokemon Online out. Pokmon Online By the way, I've been experimenting with Ursaring lately, and all I can say is that he is a beast if you can get him into the field without being one shotted by Brick Break.
Or any easy-to-set-up fighting attack. Stuff like Machamp's Dynamic Punch and Breloom's Focus Punch. Or any pokemon that can learn Cross Chop and has enough bulk to take some punishment *cough* Hariyama *cough*
So I was looking at the Smogon leaderboards for battle tower, and some of those kids had like a 2000 win streak. How long would that take? I thought I was cool with my 58 streak.
They only get those kind of streaks through using cheap tactics, like toxic+detect+protect,or spore punch breloom.
Got an emulator for my ipod. Currently running a Fire Red rom. So far, I'm in celadon, just beat the gem leader Erica. Team is as follows. Charizard- 42 Vaporean-25 Nidoking- 38 Pikachu- 34 Oddish-20 (HM slave) Pidey-20 (HM slave) I'm thinking of changing my vaporean for a gyrados, oddish to either Rhydon or Dragonite, and some strong flying pokemon for pidgey (suggestions?)
Don't hate on Gyrados. Just because he's got a double weakness doesn't mean you can't use him. That's like saying don't use Dragonite, he gets destroyed by ice. Or no scizor, he gets raped by fire.
What would you suggest I trade oddish in for, theres is really no use for a grass type with the rest of my part...so what type should I invest in? Should I train up a ghost type for the physic gym?
Its not just the double typing that makes me not like him, its the moveset. Spoiler Attack: 125 Sp.Atk: 60 A lot of water attacks are special attack, so it makes it hard to hit harder than other water pokemon like vaporeon with 110 Special Attack
Are you far enough along to get a Dratini? --- Waterfall Is a good option here. And I'd say Vaporeon is only used as a Gyrados Counter/support.
