Everything is auto set to lvl 50, I believe, and the only Pokemon banned from any part of the Battle Frontier are: Mewtwo Mew Lugia Ho-oh Celebi Kyogre Groudon Rayquaza Jirachi Deoxys (All forms) Dialga Palkia Giratina (Both forms) Phione Manaphy Darkrai Shaymin (Both forms) Arceus (All forms) Everything else is fair game.
Alright, I will make sure, but then why do people train to level 100 if they just get cut down to level 50 and their stats become what they were at level 50?
Because for competitive battling, you can battle at level 50 or 100. And if your pokemon arent at that level the game will advance/decrease your pokemon's stats to basically the equivalent of what they would be at that level. However, if you do this with, say, an un-EV'ed pokemon, then you'll be missing some big stat bonuses.
Sorry to change the subject but I'd really love an answer to this. With chaining, Can the chain randomly break at anytime? I've been chaining a bit the last day and on some occasions I've been 100% sure that I didn't screw up at all. I know the patch has to be four spaces from where I'm standing and I try to go to the same type of grass each time. Any help would be great, I just want my shiny Tauros already
It may seem like it randomly breaks, but in all honesty, you're doing something wrong. Chaining is kinda hard to get down, and really annoying at that, because there are a lot of guidelines for not breaking the chain, so much that it's easy to forget something and break your chain even though you did, like, eight different steps right. That being said, I've had the chain seemingly break on me at random a few times but I probably caused it. A couple important things to remember: Choose the farthest patch within range The range is only limited to seven steps, DO NOT go farther than that Avoid moving patches right beside other moving patches Never use your bike When in doubt, just reset the radar, and try again You can reset your radar simply by walking fifty steps in the non wiggling patches of grass and staying in your pokeradar's range and this won't break the chain. You'll end up doing this alot most likely.
so,if I earn the effort ribbon (max EVs) then I can compete in the lv100 battle frontier challenges like its level 100?
I'm trying to complete all the Pokeathalon things and have failed at all but the power and stamina. I'm trying to go for speed next and for my team I have a charizard and a suicune but I need a good 3rd. Any help pl0x?
Oh...no. I meant when you do Coliseum link battles against other people. Then you have the option to bump up or lower your pokemon's level.
For speed and jump, I go with aerodactyl, golbat, and fearow. Every time, I will get around 400 points, give or take a few and then gain the extra 100 for winning, so I get 500 every time.
Lol^ Hax can be funny On bulbapedia they have all the pokeathalon stats. Suicune is Speed 4/5 ★★★★☆ Power 3/4 ★★★☆ Skill 4/5 ★★★★☆ Stamina 3/3 ★★★ Jump 4/4 ★★★★ Total 18/21 ★★★☆ Charizard is Speed 3/3 ★★★ Power 3/3 ★★★ Skill 2/2 ★★ Stamina 4/5 ★★★★☆ Jump 5/5 ★★★★★ Total 17/18 ★★★ Bulbapedia is slow as hell ATM tho
Nah, I caught it that way. I was battling it with my Bagon, and when I caught it, it had Bite, Leer, Ember, and Rage.
What do you guys think of a Kingler as an in-game Pokemon? I'm doing a Water monotype runthrough of HeartGold, and I was thinking of adding my newly caught Krabby to my team. Kingler's got a pretty good moveset.
Kingler has a beastly physical attack. Use that to your advantage. If you need some good type mixes for water types, I'd say Ludicolo and Lanturn are good bets. Ludicolo has some silly strategies if you get the right set of moves.
For the challenges left in the Pokeathalon I decided to use my Arceus, Rayquaza, and Lugia. Rayquaza and Arceus are beast in all stats but Lugia has some defects. I plan on using legendaries as though they aren't banned.
1 Question, why is it an un-even scale? Like some things are out of 2, some 3 some 5. There is no way to get an accurate reading (unless you changed it all into one). Like for the speed, one is 3/5 the other 3/3... 3/3 is obviously better but why didnt they just make it 5/5? Darn Wikipedia i guess.
Because some pokemon have the potential to gain 1-2 extra stars in certain stats. If you give them different berry juices they can accomplish this, I think. It's kinda like pokeblocks and contest stats.
So my Water-type team in HeartGold is going well... Lanturn - lvl 34 - Illuminate - Surf - Confuse Ray - Spark - Thunder Wave Swampert - lvl 40 - Torrent - Surf - Dig - Mud Bomb - Take Down Feraligatr - lvl 39 - Torrent - Ice Fang - Surf - Crunch - Slash Lombre - lvl 40 - Rain Dish - Surf - Mega Drain - Zen Headbutt - Rain Dance Any suggestions? I'm on my way to the Lake of Rage right now. Anyone have a spare Water Stone I can use to evolve my Lombre?
