Players of Chiron TL-34 fear not!

    Despite only having 12 teleporters in total to use... you can still get a RELATIVELY close to the original.

    Of course now, you're going to need to kill a bunch of teleporters. That goes without saying. In fact, my design here uses ELEVEN of the twelve. So I'm just scratching by.

    Now before I go show you my design, be warned. There is a catch. This is merely close to Chiron TL-34. For sadly I've been needed to transform MANY of the teleporters into, gasp, hallways! You can no longer run from one side to another back and forth in an attempt to avoid your opponent.

    In fact, I don't know how this will even play in comparison to the original. Well, I've kept you waiting for awhile, then again most of you probably looked at the photo and then are going to either post without reading this above stuff, or thankfully some of you will read this. To all you map makers, good luck.

    I need not credits for the design. In fact, you should probably go over it and redo it, because copy and pasting and cropping paint gets kinda ugly.

    Well, that's it. I used teleporters where hallways wouldn't meet. Any red patches are my attempt at fixing stuff. If you're wondering how to get from high level hallways to low level hallways, you're going to have to figure it out yourself. Best bet is probably a ramp. If you can't fit that, you can probably use a grav lift.

    In fact if possible keep all areas at different levels from the ones next to it. That will help the whole separation of rooms. Personally, out of the giant square of rooms, raise the top left, top right, middle, and bottom left.

    I'm probably not going to make this. Mebe I will. But you guys can feel free to take the idea with no credits at all.

    Just don't go around accusing me of stealing the idea if I DO go ahead and make it.

    EDIT: I realize that there are multiple levels of Chiron. That one you can figure out too.

    Funny thing is that chrstphrbrnnn and I were going to attempt something similar a few months ago except we were going to completely forgo teleporters all together. Though after spending hours in Halo 1 deciphering the different heights of each room and how they compare to each other we decided that such an undertaking would provide better results in Reach. Odds are we won't actually attempt this either but I still personally think it would make for a decent map, at least in terms of Halo 3's gameplay. When Reach finally rolls around if anyone is serious about doing this I may be able to dig up our notes for you to use, should prove to be very helpful.

    Have you considered using mancannons instead of hallways and to replace teleporters?

    Where there is normally a teleporter, instead place a mancannon in the alcove shooting them straight up a shaft. Be sure to merge it into a wall so that one can jump down the shaft. Place shield doors within the shaft to keep people from camping at the top and chucking grenades down the shaft.

    We DO have enough grav lifts/mancannons to do it. Just something for readers to keep in mind.

    In this image I gave each section a number...

    Sections 3,5,7, & 9 would be elevated.
    Where I placed mancannons, that's where you would place mancannon shafts connecting sections.
    Teleporters are placed where they would be needed.

    The only sections which may have issues are where I placed mancannon 9 and Teleporter 5, but it's possible that you can
    just swap them and make M9=T5 and vice versa.

    This method should utilize 9 mancannons and 11 teleporters.

    Teensy problem. We only have 8 mancannons of any type period.

    If worse comes to worse... one-way shield door trick in half the shaft for the last one..

    I'm liking that idea. We could also resort to using that where the ladders go.

    I have already made a design for a remake that will utilize a "false" teleporter which creates the illusion of teleportation using undisclosed items for the sake of keeping this my idea. Mine is bound to be the closest to a remake.

    he is probably hoping for some sort of barrier like recievers in H3 that block bullets and LOS. too bad thats a major waste of nodes.

    I was just playing through Chiron TL-34 and I noticed that I missed a teleporter because of the terrible map. It will actually require 12 teleporters, not like that's much a problem. One more can't hurt. I'm just scared about the object limit popping up.

    chiron isnt big enough for that to happen i dont think. build it in the colliseum definitely, so you can use the floors.

    Can't. It's, believe it or not, too tall to fit there. I'll probably use the floor of that Grifball arena.

    I've got a name and plan already. Gonna work on a full map post in a few seconds.
