There are three dimensions to halo, why stick to long maps, why not tall? Click here for direct link to the map _______________________________________________ Version 2: Including some teleporters, weapons, and slight improvements. Click here for version 2 _______________________________________________ Quite tall building built in the sky bubble complete with roof, many platforms provide a variety of ways to get up and down the building. Can support up to 4v4, although its quite an enclosed map and would probably play better as a freeforall. No weapons added as i've been using this map for games using starting weapons + infinite ammo. If neccessary, i will add some weapon spawns onto the map, however i reccomend you try this map with a Freeforall Swords gametype. A few of the platforms require accurate crouch jumping to reach the next level. Hope you enjoy.
Looks amazing, good aesthetics and idea. But i would put some weapons in, maybe just like an MLG thing with BRs and a mauler at the top. But overall 4/5
Looks nice. Teleporters would be cool to, confusing people. Imagine CTF, Hill, or even Oddball on this map. Anything would be fun to play on this.
I need to say this, and I dont care if it gets me an infraction , because i dont know how to say it without t being spam, but you people realize that when you rate a thread, you are rating THE THREAD, not the map. So to all the people who rated the thread bad, I dont see anything wrong with it, dont to it just to be a ****
WRONG! You are not rating the thread, you are rating the map. While a well looking thread may be nice, it's not important. OT: Wow. I'm speachless. I can't say the map is the best map ever, but finally, someone made a vertical map. You get what I preach to people. Anyway I'm glad someone's made this style map. Good job on that.
Looks cool, but did you say there arent any spawns? i wasnt really sure what you meant there. If not, there should definitely be spawns, even if there are no weapons. anyways, i like the map. ive map a vertical map before, but i was fairly limited since foundry isnt very tall. this likes it would provide some fun games, swords especially.
thanks for the feedback Sorry there are Plenty of player (re)spawns but no weapons placed on the map, i might not have made that clear enough. However i may add some weapons into the map and add an updated version to my Platformer set, keeping the weaponless one there just incase. Also, I was thinking about having two seperate rooms for players to spawn in, collect thier weapons then enter through reciever nodes i'd have dotted around the tall building.. (senders would send to random reciever locations) Good idea or bad anyone?
This is definitely a map style I enjoy. It seems to be built really well and the flow of the map is good. One possible idea if you decided to make a v2 would be connecting two vertical rectangles. great map 8/10.
Good Job Wow I love it I have designed a couple vertical maps but I couldnt ever make them this one looks like it has alot of my ideas in it so good job on that. I would put some teleporters to go from level to level not alot . 4.5/5
Curious, it doesn't seem to use the death floor in any way... why would you build it on the skybox if this is the case? The main floor has much more vertical expansion
the map itself looks amazing, it's simplicity just adds to the overall awesomeness of the map. the idea about the room to get the items... its your choice really. i do think it will be a creative-ish kind of twist instead of having weapons randomly placed throughout a map. one thing that i see in the map description is no download link to the map. i only see a gametype link, i dunno if that leads to the map or not.
if you want it to be more of a casual map, the room idea could be fun. but if you want more a competetive map, id put the weapons on the actual map.
I like it how its an enclosed space, it makes it feel like its not even on the skybubble, good job on this, looks great
ha ha this map looks so cool. you have done a very good job with this. asthetically it looks great and like a lot of fun. you have done a superb job of building this map. very nicely done, i am going to download this map and check it out! 4.7/5
I build most of my maps in the skybubble, because i like the idea of expanding in any direction (rather than just the width and length of the sandbox ground level. It's just a personal preference really. Also with this map, i wanted to have the centre of the floor glowing - which i was able to do by floating lights under the grid. ~ I have just finished a v2 of the map including some teleporters and weapons, nothing too fancy but check out the first page to find a link to v2 (and a screenshot). Sorry that was a typo, it did link to the map, i just wrote "gametype" because i left my brain in the toilet -_-
I really like the concept of this map. In general, It looks pretty badass. I don't have Sandbox yet so I can't download it but I will be sure to bookmark it. This reminds me of this one level in Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS. lol, back in the day. The map was awesome. It was circular and in the middle was a circular pad that floated you up to the top of the map and if you stayed in there too long then it would kill you. Awesome map. This gives me many ideas. Personally, I think the v1 is better looking ascetically but I'm not sure how it would play out in Slayer or oddball for that matter. Keep up the good work though. Again, I'm only basing this off of what I see.
okay... no offense, but the idea about the teleporters and recievers would only lead to teleporter camping. so bad idea, and you may want to add a set gametype or something, and you might want to make a version that has weapons on it instead of simply no weapons.
lloks great, as well as fun and interesting, great aesthetics and will dl out of curiousity. what gamemeode would u prefer 4 the map? 4.5/5
Yeah i figured that anyway so didnt go ahead with the idea. Check out version 2 which has weapons on it aswell as some 2 way in-map teleporters. @roflninja Oddball is a must! However i dont think i've added any oddball spawns onto the map so youll have to bear with me until iv got round to doing that! Shotgun or sword gametypes have both kept me and my friends entertained for a long time on this map so give that a try!
