This is a kool trick I used when forging around on Avalanche. It's a great to make floating platforms and structures without doing all that nasty saving and quitting business. This method works best on Standoff or Avalanche. Steps: 1) Place an object in the air, slightly below where you want your structure to be. Make sure it's straight and save and quit while holding. 2) Reload the map and your object should be floating. 3) Now place some of the same objects ontop of it so that they balance in the middle, and so that they are all parallel to it. 4) Delete the object underneath. 5) You have now increased size of your platform! 6) Repeat this process by adding more objects ontop of your platform and increasing the size each time. 7) You'll soon have a very large platform, that's perfectly straight! Hope this method helps. Feel free to comment if you don't understand or have a problem.
I'm really not trying to sound mean, but that's pretty obvious. I have been using that same technique since before the Heroic map pack came out. It is an inherent quality of the S&Q method. Thank you for the post, though, it is appreciated. --dc
I agree with dumb cat. It is a bit obvious, but it is a good thing you want to share what you find with the community (Taking that from a post in one of my threads). Also, by placing a non-moveable object over another object and deleting the object below will do the same thing.
