If you want, just skip staight the pictures and video, and I hope you'll want to download the map. Or, you can read everything. You will need to choose at least one gametype to play with the map, though. Gametypes You NEED these to get 100% out of the map. For ideal games, use the amount of players recommended- but it's still fun with other amounts of players. Pirates :::: Destroy the enemy team's ship. [Assault] {6-16 players} Pirates- 3 teams :::: Kill the enemy pirates. Works with 2 or 3 teams. (the third team play as the smugglers, with access to tunnels (teleporters) and a variety of weapons) [Team Slayer] {8-16 players} Pirates- sharks :::: Fend off the sharks to stay alive. For this gametype only one ship is used (the other was destroyed by the sharks). [Infection] {5+ players} Pirates- bay :::: Conquer Rockslant Bay, to salvage the remains of the frequent shipwrecks. Works with 2 or 3 teams. (the third team play as the smugglers, with access to tunnels (teleporters) and a variety of weapons) [Team King of the Hill] {4-16 players} Description 'Amongst the barren wastes, cries of 'Yarr' can be heard.' Requirements Pirates v3 must be used with the gametypes provided. [img width=400 height=300]http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/2166/swordsclashsv0.jpg[/img] Details There are two ships (elephants), which are geared up for battle- turrets along the sides, barricades along the sides, weapons, firebombs, and a teleporter to Rockslant Island. In the middle is Rockslant Island, the only place on the map with equipment, and the location of the only mongoose. There is also Rockslant Bay, and the Smugglers cove, along with lots of other things to look out for. The map, with it's settings, encourages the players to stay on their ships- and when both ships collide all hell breaks lose (see the video/pictures). History A while ago there was a Bungie Favourites map called 'The Seven Seas'. After downloading it, I found that it was basically Sandtrap with a tower in the middle. Not understanding, I looked around for information about it, and found that it should be played with a gametype called 'Pirates'. No-one seemed to know what this was- one person said that they did, but didn't explain it, and just said 'search Youtube for Halo 3 Pirates'. After doing this, I realised it was some sort of game where the elephants are ships, and two teams battle it out using them. All the videos, though, seemed just to be groups of friends who had agreed to use the elephants as ships. I decided to make a map which took this idea, but made it formal, where you don't have to rely on people 'understand the rules' but just play the gametype using what you have. v2 then fixed all the problems this map had- v1 was my first ever big map so I hadn't playtested it properly. v3 is then the final version with support for another team, and more to the map. (not just an island and two boats).
