PipeLine (Updated!) If anyone downloaded the map within the first 4-5 hours of the post, it is outdated and is recommended to downloaded the new one for the best experience. By Regrets Nothing Updated pictures: 5 days later and I got a nice finished map for the Hub of the Dead contest. I wish I could get lots of constant testing on the map, but like normal, custom games are hard to come by with numbers, and even then, not every one wants to play infection games. -.- Still I got just enough testing to feel comfortable, but would still loved to have had the chance to spam games on it. The map is very similar to "Water Plant" but is actually much bigger, has better layout, and is far more interesting in terms of the structures blending in with the natural design of the map. As you know for the contest, the "alpha zombie" game type is whats best played for it. I tried taming every break of the map, and also made so many changes in every way to help the game play be more fun and balanced. Zombies re-spawn everywhere, and I mean everywhere. inside, on the roof, on the beach, you name it. There is some frame rate loss in some areas of the map, but is not to big of a problem. Once again it is a large map, so big party's of 12-16 is best. Spoiler Thanks for taking a look, and I hope you download and play.
It looks pretty damn big, which is awesome. I think large infection maps are more fun. Anyways, as the first submission to Hub of the Dead, I think this will do alright. Good Luck!
Are there any weapons on the map, or is this made for plain Alpha Zombies? I also enjoy large infection maps.
This looks great, I will probaly play it next TGIF if I get a big enough lobby. It looks like there are a few camping spots, notably the corridor with the barricade. Is this a problem and if not, why not?
well me and a bud made a really huge change in the maps layout resulting in better movement. Its also not as confusing to know the layout. The corridors that you speak of are pretty much fixed thanks to the layout change! If any one downloaded the map within the first 4-5 hours, that one is out dated. Also there is no weapons on the map.
Aside from its generic name, I like it. I agree with Ticky about the size, bigger is better. Maybe you experiment with FXs to make the map have a scarier theme. Nice job.
Wow im really impressed, this map looks awesome. the aesthetics are great, you really put a lot of effort into making it look nice. By the looks of it the game play will hopefully be just as good. Nice job!
Add FXs to make it more creepy and man will this be intense to play on! I love the layout and aesthetics though! They are awesome!
