This is my Re-Design of the Halo-Reach map PINNACLE Many people found that pinnacle was made a bad map because there was allot of spawn-killing from the sniper hot-spots on the map, which had a line of sight that covered the majority of the map. Not nice My Re-design hopes to eliminate most of that, and from the pictures given, the massive lines of sight have been eliminated No this is no longer the map you remember from Halo 1/2. it is very different, but i hope to stop the majority of the spawn-killing and sniper tower camping on this map There is also a new walkway to/from the rocket spawn. and the walkway from green teams spawn to red teams spawn has had a total overhaul Pictures: The major Re-Design of Red>Green Walkway Red>Green Walkway as seen from rocket Spawn Left Side of the new Red Base Right Side of the new Red Base
Looks good, i agree with the whole spawn killing its very frustrating. Looks like you tackled it well. Im just curious if it plays well have you tested it yet?
unfortunately no play-testing has been done with more than 2 players which was just testing to make sure all the objectives work (was having allot of trouble with placing territories so, no territories/conquest) I have not been able to find a decent number of people who can play-test to see if the map works well or not
To place terrritories you have to do the gametype label and then set the spawn sequence to 1 if you want them available at once.
Yea i have no problem knowing how to place them Im just having trouble where to place them to create a balanced game (in relation to distance from the spawn points) but i put them in and do my best

I'm curious as to how much forging experience you have, as the constant spawn killing stems from spawn areas being active during slayer, not poor map design. Also, Ascension was never in Halo 1. If you are a new forger and weren't aware of these things you are in a good environment. Forgehub is a great place for beginners to meet with experienced forgers and get great critical, constructive feedback. I'm concerned, about you calling this a Pinnacle re-design, it would barely even be a spiritual successor considering you have gutted some of the most iconic parts of the map. It appears you have a lot of abrupt edges with no railings, this can cause a jarring slayer experience. I'd have to get a better idea of your spawn system before I could give you feedback on it, but that is a crucial part of map building and a technique that takes time to understand and implement well, a bad spawn system will ruin a map (As you yourself have come to believe).
What about Pinnacle is not a jarring Slayer experience? Seriously, Pinnacle has all the problems its successor (Ascension, fyi) had back in Halo 2: Infuriating amounts of camping in the tower and the rocket spawn, Poor Line of Sight blockers, and spawn killing. If anything could have been done to slightly improve the 'jarring' experience of that map then it's by all means an improvement in my book.
