This is my first post here so I thought this would be a good place to put it. “Physics Questions I am attempting to build a gametype/map called "Carmageddon" Goal: Players hop in warthogs and try and run each other down. Primary map: Sandtrap. Lots of Hijacking involved. Gametype ways to accomplish goals: give big points for splatters. Less or no points for ‘Kills’. The questions: - If I reduce the damage a player does - does it reduce the damage done by a turret? (optimally I would like turrets to be effectively useless) - How can I increase vehicle "hit" damage to a player without increasing the usefulness of a warthog turret? - If a player is invulnerable, can they still killed by a splatter? - Does increasing or decreasing the amount of damage a player does affect "hitting" someone with a vehicle? - Does increasing or decreasing the amount of damage resistance a player has affect being hit with a vehicle? Thank you all, FoxmanFX
I'm not 100% sure on the others, but I know for a fact that reducing a player's damage to 0% doesn't stop them from splattering other players. The others shouldn't be that difficult to test, just a little time consuming.
Check out this thread, it may answer some if not all of your physics questions. Some of the guys are doing some research on what you are talking about and may have posted the answer you're looking for. Reverse Engineering Research
making a player invulnerable makes them invincable to everything eccept the guardians and assassinations. if you put player damage to 0 the turret will do nothing but make noise and im pretty sure you can still splatter. you cannot increase vehichle hit dammage as far as i no (please correct me if im wrong.) increasing damage resistance im bout 98% sure will make it harder to splatter them i dont think player damage affects ne thing except guns, turrets ect. it shouldnt change the damage of a brain concusion or having your body crushed by an oncomming wart hog
Even if they are invulnerable they can be splattered. Try it. If friednly fire is off you can even betray by splatter. Im not sure about the other questions.
