I want to know how many people have Photoshop/GIMP/nothing. GIMP, in case you don't know, is an opensource photo-editing software. _________________________________________________ What's Photoshop? What's GIMP? What's Fireworks? What is Paint.net? What's Paint?
If you were to give the GIMP a percentage-of-photoshop rating (90% as powerful, etc), what would it be? I've never actually checked out the GIMP, though I've been curious.
I gotta say, PS is the best photo editing stuff ive ever used. If you can, get it. If not, well, theres ways of getting it.
Ways that we will not be disclosing here. GIMP has it's ups and downs, but the main benefit, besides the cost ratio, is the ability for users to make their own plugins easily. I prefer it, but I'm more used to Photoshop when editing stuff.
Ways that got mackmack temp banned for 5 days for posting. I prefer PS, GIMP has stuff all over the place. It confuses me xX
So now there's just photoshop, GIMP, and zip? What happened to me and fellow Fireworks users? :squirrel_wtf:
Please add Fireworks to the list . Although I suppose it's basically the same thing as Photoshop, now that Adobe bought Macromedia.
Ive been using photoshop for quite some years now. No way i could use Gimp. Sometimes i use paint for the diagonal line tool. Yea.
Fireworks has been added. I used to use it, but it's primarily a line tool. I use Photoshop for serious photo editing, and GIMP for playing around in.
I have GIMP but i have no idea how to use it so I just use paint lol. I want to learn how to use photoshop though, so I'm gonna take a class as an elective in high school.
Open PS, Follow a tutorial (22pixels tutorials are great, start with those) learn from tutorial, do some more, combine together and you get something.
I prefer Photoshop because of the wealth of tutorials there are for practically anything... That being said, I believe there is a program called Gimpshop or something that is Gimp with a Photoshop interface... Or, you could get Photoshop here LoL... Lol if you actually believed that that link was legit...
